Trying to help wife quit smoking? -

any good ideas on how to help her quit? I have tried buying her stuff but when she starts back she gets mad and wont use the things i got her.
Hey,

I had seen a guy mentioning a site
http://healthexercisepro.com/

I also went there and the site has got some very nice articles. I really liked the site. I think all the guys who want to quit smoking should have peep in there. It has got lots of articles on quit smoking and health exercise.

Awesome site.

Try it out
Once a person is motivated to give up something ... they will try. She has tried and failed and then gets mad at you for wanting to help her or whatever ? Just keep helping her. Sooner or later she will succeed. Courses which display diseased smokers lungs in glass jars and that kind of stuff can help her focus on the benefits of a longer heathier life. Its an addiction and the longer she has smoked the longer it will take to give them up. Smoking makes me sick now personally. I convinced myself that it was bad for my health and just stopped. Never smoked since.
You can-t make her quit. Trust me. My dh is the same way as your wife.
I finally told him, -Look, X, Y, and Z are reasons why I want you to quit. When you decide you are ready to do so, I will help you and support you 110% Let me know when you get there, okay?-

switch her cigarrettes with those healthy ones but keep it in the same box.

take her to one of those places sorta like AA but for smokers.
just seen on the news where they now have a series of shots like a vaccine. I seen it on world news, looked brand new with good results.

2 miles a day and am taking yoga 3x a week. Is this normal to be this exhausted when you go from bad habits to good?
Your exhaustion might stem from another source altogether such as poor dietary intake.

Have you quit smoking? -

I have been a smoker off and on for 5 years.I was smoke free for awhile but work is getting very stressful and I took a cigarette not really thinking. Now im smoking alot again.
Have you been able to quit smoking? What has helped you?
What about times when you want one so bad and if you dont have it you want to cry.Your body feels like it will shut down.
I need some advice on how to quit and not go back.
Thank you everyone.
I quit smoking exactly one year ago. I substituted the activity of long distance running. I don-t think you have to take up a sport, but do something that takes your mind off smoking.
I have never smoked in my life and I-m trying to keep it that way. I know someone who smokes...a lot, and won-t stop. If I were a heavy smoker, I would just tell my friends and family on how I want it to stop, so that when they see me with a cigarette, they should take it away.

Or,

you could ask your doctor on other ways to quit smoking. Maybe there is a special medication that can help.

It-s a shame how people become addicted to things. You probably should have never taken that first blow on a cigarette, but I know it was probably difficult not too. No matter what, keep on trying to solve the problem.

Good luck!
I do not smoke but my best friend quit on the patch after 15 years of being a smoker.

Helping my wife quit smoking. Anybody have any tips? -

It-s about Laura. Ever since we left the white house, it seems that she is starting to pick up slowly again, smoking cigarettes. Don-t get me wrong, not that I think less of her, but I just want her to possibly quit. I mean, I used to do Coke, and look how I turned out! Anyway, what are some tips you can give me to help her quit smoking?
mr ex president, don-t u have anything better to do than .......... uh nvr mind
Just tell her about the time you got scared landing your aircraft in the Armed Forces and tell her how much that made you wanna quit, but you flew as a co-pilot for a while and got caught don some pretty nasty things! So now you just front-man the same crimes, and let Cheney do the rest!

Lesson here, let Cheney do it for you!
Maybe use some -enhanced interrogation- techniques.

Im 16 years old and Im always tired, I cant quit smoking and when I do smoke Im even more tired, Help? -

I smoke about 3 cigs a day just to keep me from getting depressed since I-m addicted. And when I do smoke, my vision is messy the rest of the day and I-m tired. I-m always thirsty and hungry. Could it be diabetes?
Think about it. Cigarettes have nicotine in them, you are tired all of the time because you smoke.

You can quit smoking you just need support and you need to see your family doctor and a therapist, especially if you get depressed when you don-t have the nicotine.
Always tired, sounds like mono, you need an antibiotic.
not enough vitamins in your syste,m
Your best bet would be go to the doctor. It could be something like diabetes yes, but it may be nothing. It-s best to have yourself checked by a professional. Best wishes to you.
Take a sleeping pill oя sank oя if you chew gum instead of smoking it helps loads! =]

Just quit smoking, fallen very ill. Explanation? -

I-ve been smoking for about 3 years now, and I just decided to quit cold turkey yesterday. But now it feels as though my throat was shred to pieces with a cheese grater. Not really coughing up too much gunk like I expected. Can somebody shed some light on this for me? I-m sure this is normal, but how long will it last? What can I expect to happen within the next week or so?

Appreciate any answers.
Ok well i don-t smoke but my dad does and he tried to quite and like he said for the first three days he felt like crap and wouldn-t get up from the couch really and that-s also what his dad did. After about 3 days he was better. Good luck!
You-ll ache all over for a week to two weeks and tell yourself that you-ll die without one.
Just stay motivated and don-t let your nicotine receptors trick your brain into smoking again.
It is hard to quit cold turkey, and even though i don-t know you, I-m proud of you.
Good luck.
,well, you have what is commonly known as, -quitters flu- I-m ten days smoke free after about 20 years of smoking, the last ten at 2 packs a day. the first 5 days were excruciating and i cried allot, i hurt a lot, i actually thought i would die. but, i made it through it. i just kept telling myself it cant last forever it has to go away, eventually ....and it did. the cravings are a whole other story , but i just keep telling myself nothing last forever not even this...so far its working..hang in you will find you have more will power than you thought could exist..good luck to ya
are you drinking more, eating candy or some other oral pacifier that could be causing this? If not, it-s just your body adjusting. Bet your dreams are Intense, too. Probably will not last a week, as long as it-s not the pacifier effect. And I would not expect you to be coughing up anything after only 3 years. Hang in there, it get easier.
It should only last about 5 days...you might feel irritable - have cravings. Take 1 day at a time.

Drink lots of fluids to flush your system.
Suck on Zinc lozenges to help your throat heal faster.
Suck on sugarless hard candies for cravings.
Cut straws in 1/2 - suck on straws (smokers are used to taking in more oxygen than nonsmokers);
Cut up strips of celery - carrots to munch on instead of cigarettes;
Break habits of when you smoke...IE: if have cig with coffee after dinner...change drink to tea or something cold.

What is your recommendation about the people ho already quit smoking? -

What is your recommendation about the people ho already quit smoking? -

I personally, stopped smoking almost fifty years ago and that was before anyone told us that it affected our health in so many ways.
I have always said that the day I stopped was probably the best day of my life.
It must have saved me many, many thousands of pounds - and helped me, and the people around me, to a more healthy life.
My recommendation to any smoker is to -give up now-. When a few short days have passed, you-ll wonder why you ever did it in the first place. Best of luck !
my recommendation to those who have already quit smoking? good Job. It is hard but can be done.
I quit 26 1/2 years ago and it was tough, particularly the first 3 days. This was before all the gum, patches, and drugs that are out their to help. Back then it was called doing it -cold turkey-.
The best advice I got was to keep busy, especially keep my hands occupied. I am female and I cut quilt squares. I made an entire quilt in 1 week! LOL Later, I taught myself how to crochet and fiddling around with the yarn or thread was a great substitute.
The morning cigarettes were NOT the first thing I thought about, I knew I had it licked. While the worst was over, I did do things like NOT hang around when others smoked, did not allow anyone to smoke in my home any more, tried not to do those things that triggered a desire to smoke. That took about a month with each day better and better.
The benefits were more money in my pocket, I didn-t cough in the morning any more, I no longer get wicked painful sinus infections, my clothes don-t smell like the bottom of a dirty ashtray(neither does my breath!) I don-t have tobacco crumbles lining my purse and every pocket of every shirt, coat or pair of pants.
They need to help others who are struggling to quit smoking ! That can be in terms of sharing experiences, the best way to hold on etc.
what do you mean?? how to quit smoking if you already have???
Excuse me?

how soon after quititting I should think about kids?
Smoking damages almost all aspects of sexual, reproductive and child health, according to a report.
reduces the chances of a woman conceiving by up to 40% per cycle.

A review of 20 studies revealed that

pregnant women who smoke
are approximately 27 percent more likely to deliver preterm than those who don’t smoke.
Studies also showed that

pregnant women who quit smoking are 17 percent less likely to deliver preterm than women who continue to smoke throughout pregnancy.
Congratulations and well done! You can think about kids straight away - why not?

Smoking can damage the reproductive process, but after seeing your doctor, there-s no reason why you shouldn-t have children now that you have quit.

What should i buy for myself as my reward for quitting smoking? -

I finally quit smoking after many failed attempts. This is a big accomplishment to me, so I decided that I am going to reward myself. I am a 24yr female...I was thinking about a nice purse, i love saks, and have several and I also own a Louis Vuitton purse. Any other suggestions along those lines?
first, congratulations! Giving up cigarettes is hard. I know because i-ve done it too. I-d have a -me- day. Take yourself out for breakfast, go shopping, have your hair and nails done, buy yourself your favorite expensive perfume. Now people can really smell it, because it won-t be competing with the smell of cigarettes.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but quitting isn-t an accomplishment its a life-long process. If you give up the fight too soon then you might have a relapse. Enjoy your new freedom but remember that its never over.

Please accept my congratulations!!

I think you should consider replacing all your wardrobe, over a period of time. Smokers don-t realize that they have contaminated everything they came in contact with. I don-t mean to be mean, both my parents died early because of a livelong smoking habit.

I can smell smoke on the clothes of a smoker just standing next to them.
You can buy yourself anything you want. I quit smoking five years ago and I am still rewarding my self. I deserve it, and so do you. You go girl. Congratulations.
yeah! have a -ME- day!
Congratulation! You deserve anything you want. I know how hard it is. I-m still trying.
Day at the spa.
I prefer Coach, but Louie has some nice ones too.

Go ahead Girl...buy yourself something nice!! Something you want.

Congrats on quitting...maybe I-ll be next!
I agree with replacing as much of the wardrobe as financially possible and certainly any purse you can afford! With the price of cigs today, the money you-re saving will buy you lots of neat stuff!! And, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

how to quit smoking, am not able to do it, can u help me out
I have smoked for 20 and tried many things....Have been on Chantix now for a week and things are going great.

When you start this med they want u to smoke the first week until the med builds up in your system.....for the past week I have gone from 1-2 packs a day to about 2-5 ciggs a day. Thursday is my 8th day and my quit day.

I work in a doc-s office and have seen alot of success on Chantix.

Good Luck
You and only you can help you quit smoking. Just don-t smoke anymore how hard is that.
Im serious here... dump a pack of smokes into a blender with 1 cup of water and blend until its a think milk shake and drink it. You will puke in a minute and never want another smoke in your life!
i used chantix, the new drug to help stop smoking, it really helped me.
Try to get more information regarding some ways to stop smoking at my profile.
1st, stop buying or begging cigarettes, the rest will follow
This takes commitment, courage and motivation. There is no -easy- way.

I suggest you talk with your doctor. There are many prescriptions out there that can help, but you have to WANT it to do it.

Also, go to quitnet.com.
A bunch of people in my work used Chantix. All of them haven-t smoked since. As far as side effects they said they had awesome dreams thats about it. Good Luck!!
Perhaps you could investigate a web search for -nicorette activestop-.
don-t light, drag em or inhale em.
I did it on the third try. The first time I tried lowering the number of cigs but as soon as I got stressed out or got together with my friends I was back to my regular pack a day habit. The second time I used those patches. Had side effects: dry throat, trouble sleeping... Managed to quit for 4 months. My grandma died, I had one cig and was back to my old habit within a month. So with me it-s either a pack a day or no cigs at all. The third time I quit cold turkey. Just no cigs at all.

Schedule yourself a start day and that is it. I went through sweats, trouble sleeping, constipation, weight gain. It is definitely a drug and your body will suffer trying to get used to being without it. Watch out for the times when you think you have things under control and you can light a cig or two - those are the dangerous times... I-ve been smoke fee for 6 years now. Good luck to you!

How do most people feel after quitting smoking after 2 1/2 years? Is it natural to have shortness of breath ? -

Occassionally, I have shortness of breath and just have an ill feeling, sometimes dizzy, no energy. Is this normal? I had been smoking for about 30 years.
You had been smoking for such a long time that you can probably expect to have some long term effects such as shortness of breath. Your lungs are damaged and although over time they may recover somewhat, they will never be close to 100%. If you start feeling really sick or very short of breath or your symptoms really start affecting your life you need to see a doctor.

Hope you feel better, and I-m so glad you decided to quit.
Well,I quit over two years now and I can breath better than before. You should have all of your lung capacity restored by now.Try raising your heart rate up by cardiovascular exercise,if you still have problems go see a doctor.
I smoked 6 packs a day for years till sumthin happened .
My 1st heart attack . Have had 4 more but I HAVE HAD NO DESIRE for a puff since 1990 .
Smoking does kill people .
I tried to quit many times before I saw the light at the end of the tunnel .
It was peaceful but God sent me back for some reason .
Good job on staying smoke free! I quit 3 years ago and go through this too. I went to see a pulmonologist and they gave me a lung function test. He told me that from smoking for so long I had developed emphysema. As long as I don-t smoke any more, it shouldn-t get a whole lot worse than it is now. Good luck!

What tests are used by a hospital to determine if one has quit smoking and for long they have quit? -

The test is a Nicotine Metabolite Screen. This test is used as a marker for active smoking, medical surveillance and smoking cessation programs.
My Mum, has just started quitting smoking and they can test you by doing a carbon monoxide test, it reads the level of carbon monoxide that you have in your body when you blow into the tube thing. My Mum-s carbon monoxide level was 40. it-s supposed to be about 3! Lol. Its around 70 when you-re dragged out of a house fire. No idea if that helped but if it did, yay!

So they can tell by your carbon monoxide level.
I do not believe there are such tests. You can simply tell by the scent of the person-s clothes - bad odor of their breath.

Although, there are resources to aid people to quit smoking.
they should take an x ray of your lungs to help determine the conditions of your lungs. or run a scan on you .

Can over the counter quit smoking aids such as gum or patches be taken in conjunction with Chantix? -

Nicotine supplements like gum and patches are not helpful when taking Chantix, which attaches to the nicotine receptors in the brain. The medication essentially tricks the brain into thinking you already have the nicotine in your system, which decreases the craving for smoking. So nicotine supplements generally won-t make a difference in how you feel and could cause some nausea. Most of my patients that have taken Chantix are able to quit after about 1 week and most are successful in quitting completely if they take it for the recommended 6 months. Good luck.
No Chantix can not be taken with quit smoking aids. This combo with Nicotine may increase the risk of nausea and vomiting, dizziness.

This includes all nicotine gum, inhaled, lozenges, nasal and transdermal.
there is no need to take OTC meds for smoking when taking Chantix. call your doctor if you have concerns.

Would you quit smoking if you could? -

Hello!
A family member has been smoking for at least the last ten years. I am really worried about him and would like him to quit smoking, although I know that is up to the person doing it, I just do not want to see anything happen to him.

Anyway, I know he is addicted, I have never smoked so I do not know anything about how addicting cigarettes can be, but would like to find a way to get him to quit. He is very stubborn and gets mad when people talk to him about it so I am in a rock and a hard place. What would you do?

Also, would you quit smoking if you could?
Are you a smoker or a non smoker?
I just quit smoking a few days ago. I have tried to quit several times in my life and failed. Even after watching my mother die from smoking earlier this year I still couldn-t quit. Believe me your loved one knows very well how harmful it is. We hear the warnings, we see the statistics, and we even feel the reprocusions. There is nothing you can do but gently encourage. Trying to force him to quit will never work. In fact the more I was pushed the more I resisted. When people finally left me alone I put them down on my own. You really have to understand in your own mind that he is his own person and has a right to make his own choices about his body as long as he is considered sane. Even if it is harmful. He knows the affects, but it is his choice and I know it hurts to watch him smoke himself into an early grave, but you just have to let him because that is his right to choose to do so.

Everyone who smokes would quit -if they could- we know its bad. Some just really enjoy it and are addicted so they cant quit. Some are just so addicted they cant quit. It takes a lot more then just want and determination to quit. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. It has never been cause I didn-t care, or didnt want to, it really is the hardest hardest hardest thing ever. It is very addictive, even more so then any drug out there in my opinion. Let your loved one know how much you love him, but don-t push to much you will only make it worse.
i am a smoker, 10 cigarettes a day-more if i go out..and eventhough i hate the fact that i smoke..i keep doing it. it-s hard sweetie, and if he doesn-t want to quit,there-s nthg u can do..
i-ll quit when i get good and ready to
yeah im a total pothead and would luv to quit but its sooooo hard. i currently have picked next week to quit....
Former smoker. Quit 4yrs ago. Cold turkey. Said when I finish my last pack from the cartoon that will be the last one ever. Haven-t had once since. I smoked for almost 20yrs. It was hard the first few weeks. Went through a lot of straws and toothpicks. I still chew a lot of tooth picks but it sure is a lot safer then cigarettes. Just encourage him to stop with the positive benefits and show him how much money he can save. Good luck.
I am an ex-smoker. I can tell you that it is the hardest addiction there is to beat. I tried and failed many times, but the new drug Chantix has really been a huge help, it has enabled me now to be off of cigarettes for six months. My doctor recommends using Chantix for a full year to make sure I am done forever with cigarettes and then we will taper me off the Chantix.
But you can-t make someone else quit....they have to want to, and they have to do it on their own. You can worry about them all you want, but the choice is theirs to make, not yours.
When someone is ready to quit, they will find the resources they need to enable them to quit. But until and unless they want to actually quit, there is not a thing you can do, and if you try, you will alienate them and make them more stubborn about continuing to smoke. So, leave your rock and hard place, you put yourself there. If you must do something, get a brochure or something about quitting, there are some nice ones available online about Chantix and leave them where your family member is likely to find them. Aside from that, leave it alone. The choice is not yours.
I smoked for many years and when I quit smoking I needed people-s support, as it isn-t easy. I am now a non-smoker and proud of myself for doing my body a favour.

Tell you family member that you love him dearly and you wish he would quit. Tell him that you will be ther for him during the whole process.

Also, don-t use nicorette....use regular gum and he will still be getting caffiene from nicorette.
m a nonsmoker.....you r nice to take care bout your family member but alas you cant do anything but you can do onething....there is something like spray in the market specially for nonsmokers if you spray it in your mouth ...it gives the feel that smoking do..so may it helps you.....

I know all the dangers of smoking and i beat myself up about doing it believe me...I-m desperate to give up this putrid habit..Can you plz give me some good advice on how to quit tyvm..
first go somewhere like your porch light up your last cigarette no cut back this is it no reservations everything goes your cigs ashtrays lighters in the garbage next grab some lifesavers put them the same place where you kept your lighter, next few days you are going have urges but it will pass grab a lifesaver next wash your clothes including the ones in the closet because the smell of smoke will give you the urge to light up if you have a car clean it up get rid of the smell of smoke you can do this. put in your mind if you want to live quit, if you want to die, light up .I quit smoking I smoke for 42 yrs, I did it cold turkey , it work for me I hope this works for you. good luck...
Like Mary I also told myself (and everyone else) I was cutting down and not giving up. This worked for me too. Nothing is worse than people always discussing smoking, not smoking, cutting down, giving up, etc. In the end I told people that every time they mentioned the word I wanted to smoke so they left me alone about this. I found I had to avoid others who smoked - that-s a bit harder to do though. I gave up the first time using nicotine gum to help, for about a year. This relapsing happens to many people - I guess you just don-t believe you will get hooked again! The second time (and last) I told myself that I was just going to try out the patches (a trial) and as this seemed to work and dealed with the addiction side, it gave you time to adjust to the habit side of things in your own time. I did not take the whole issue very seriously at all and had no definite plan in mind. As I had been cutting down for some time I started on a lower strength patch too, and in time I started actually cutting them down in size too. There was no hurry and I had no side affects or stress. I cannot remember how many years ago that was now (14 years+) and I do not have any inclination to smoke either. There is no way I would reconsider and smoke again. My brother gave up first time by using hypnotherapy but he suffered a lot of stress in the process. He seems to have switched his addiction to long distance running now and now runs daily and enters marathons and even ultra marathons at a professional-amateur level. I seriously think the hypnotheraphy had some impact on that as he does take the running a bit to extremes. Good luck with whatever method you choose.
Lots of people quit smoking in a lot of different ways
patches, gums, psychology, hypnosis, will power
many different ways and it depends on you and how your body reacts

I was a heavy smoker for 30+ years. Whenever I quit I would get depressed and suicidal. Two of my doctors even told me not to ever try to quit again!

I got double pneumonia for the second time. I tried Chantix, a prescription medication that ties up the nicotine receptors in the brain. It makes it impossible to have any craving. All you have to do is work on the behavioral stuff, like smoking while on the phone, after eating, first thing in the morning, etc, which is a breeze because you don-t want a cigarette.

I had tried the patch and the gum with little success. It seemed that doling out nicotine to me in small doses fed my craving, made me irritable, and I would start again after three or so weeks.

I tried Chantix for 6 weeks at a very stressful time in my life and had great success. I love being free of cigarettes, and I can go to a movie or museum without getting the craving. My clothes, breath, hair, and home smell better, and I have saved a lot of money.

I have been free of cigarettes for 19 months now. I wish you the very best of luck however you try to quit!!
It was all in my head, I knew that going in and I really, really hated the smoking bs. I used the Nicorette gum witch is like licking the bottom of an ashtray, and I quit. It has been 15 yrs now, still want one every now and then, but I do not give myself any excuses. One puff and Im a smoker again. It is harder to quit smokes than it is to quit crack. Good luck.
My experince is -be easy on yourself-.I started smoking at age 30.I found to be hard on myself is worst than others being down on me.
I personally purposed in my heart and intentionally cut back.
I was a pack a day smoker. But,I did not say that I was quitting.I just
suddenly stopped. But I never said to a soul that I was quitting.Sometimes speaking things out can cause the battle in the
mind to be greater when it comes to giving up a habit.
That has been 4 years ago,Thank the Lord. You can do it!!!!!
after 30 some years i just ask GOD for help and i quit then and there

thanks.
Perhaps you should contact the Quitline.
your doctor can give you a prescription for different medications that take away alot of the urge to smoke, good luck
The average smoker tries to quit 5 times before finally succeeding, so dont get discouraged just yet. I quit cold turkey, I found what I hated about it and just focused on that. My gpa on the other hand smoked outside for several weeks and kept all of his old cigs and the ashes in a jar with a lid, when it got full he opened the jar and let the smell ferment in the house, the smell turned him off so much he never smoked again.
i saw my doctor yesterday and he told me there was a new drug on the market that has a really high success rate. (I don-t smoke, but my mom does.)

It is called Chantrix

http://www.chantix.com

You never quit you just put smoking off day by day.
I quit in October. I quit cold turkey, one day i looked at my ashtray and couldnt believe how much money was sitting in there. I figured out how much I spent a year on cigarettes and wrote it on a notecard. I kept that notecard in my pocket and everytime i wanted a smoke I stared at that notecard and thought of the things i could do with all of that money.

What are 2 things you could suggest to a friend of yours to do if they would like to quit smoking? -

chew gum alot and also let them limit the amount they smoke a day for instance if they smoke 2 packs decrease that to one then until they can go a whole day without it then try 2 days and gradually it-ll work out but also that person has to be willing to stop smoking too. good luck
chew gum and find a hobby
As a lifelong non-smoker, I don-t have the frame of reference to either dictate or advise a smoker on how to kick the habit. And even if I was, ultimately despite all the different methods, logically it must take an iron will, since some smokers have describe this to be next to impossible to conquer.
eat citrus fruit before having a cigarette. a piece of grapefruit works best or and orange or lemon. it takes away the taste in your mouth. and its also very healthy for you.

How do i quit smoking? -

Hello, i am 14 years old and have been smoking a year now and i really dont like it . How can i stop smoking all my friends do . But i have tried to quit before and i just got so depressed i seem to turn to tobacco all the time what can i do
You have already got to the first stage of quitting. you want to. Now all you have to do is do it. Dont worry about what your friends are doing. You are 14, a few years from now, you probably wont even talk to your smoking buddies, so stop now while you want to. Good luck and I know you can do it!
Chew some gum!!!!
nicotine patches or Wellbutrin/Zyban are the prescription meds. You can-t do it on your own unless extremely well disciplined. It takes almost 6 weeks to get the nicotine out of your system. It is addictive as you know. You can talk to your parents or you need to for this.
hey ..random maybe but you could try something different because sometimes the patches and therapy just dont work. You could go back to the time you loved more, in ur carefree younger days, we all,,..

BLEW BUBBLES
0 oooooooooo!!!!!
I

its reduces strss, ill tell ya that.

k good luck!
Been there done that man. I quit nine months ago. Exercise and prayer were the most important aids in my quitting. I gave up my addiction to God (I don-t know your personal convictions to this may or not apply to you) and I got a gym membership. Haven-t fired one up since Feb 11.
First of all you are too small for smoking. That is not good for you but you can stop smoking if you slowly stop .
For example today if you smoke 5 cigarettes you smoke 3 and slowly you will stop .
try to give up i no it hard ive been smoking for 25yrs now and i wished i never started.try to keep your self busy and use chew gum.
dont let it be another year of smoking.
whenever u crave a cigarette chew gum.
VERY SIMPLE DON-T START SMOKING AND YOU DON-T HAVE TO QUIT

Has anyone tried Commit lozenges to quit smoking? Did they work? -

All tests show that feeding yourself low doses of nicotine will not give you much chance of permanently being able to quit smoking.
You need help with the psychological side of addiction too. You will spend a lot of money and time to slowly try and wean yourself off smoking by nicotine replacement, and risk the common trap of becoming addicted to the gum.
There-s a lot of help at

to make quitting smoking much easier and faster.
Not personally, but I have friends that say it worked well.
they work well takes getting used to haveing them in your mouth though.
There is only one way to quit.. just DO IT!! I quit after being a smoker for 25 years, and if I can, you can. The first week will be terrible, but after that, its ok. I have been smokefree for a year and two months now.
