Does anyone know if there are any side effects for taking hoodia pills while wearing a patch to quit smoking? -

yea hoodia isn-t a stimulant so therefore there is nothing in it that will counteract with taking the patch. If you feel like you don-t want to take the pills anymore because you notice something irregular, then stop. But it can-t harm you. Hoodia is natural and probably the safest dietary supplement out there. Is it effective, that I cannot tell you.
the person above me is retarted.
hoodia is NOT EVEN A STIMULATE.

u will be fine taking hoodia with the patch.
Stroke ( CVA ) would be the worst case scenario and it is possible. Get a self hypnosis CD to quit smoking and be rid of the nicotine.... Stop hoodia and other stimulants.... join weight watchers on line and a gym and don-t risk the stroke

How can I help my father to quit smoking ? -

I-ve been trying for too long to make my dad quit smoking but nothing actually works..I need help please..how can I help my father to quit smoking ??
The fastest way to quit smoking for me was in an ebook I got at http://www.itshrunk.com/quit-smoking-today This has made my life so much better. good luck and God Bless!
take him on a picnic .... with a long walk ... and when he is short of breath, don-t nag him - he is about to make that decision for himself.
he can only quit smoking if he wants to.

If he wants to, then maybe call the 1-800 quit smoking hotline and seek a doctor to help him quit.
It has to be his choice.Nagging will not help.

Try a diet high in protein. Cut out most of your carbs and you will feel full longer and you will drop a lot of pounds quickly!
CHECK OUT WWW.STACKLABS.COM FOR SUPPLIMENTS IF NEEDED

These diets are very dangerous and many have died from it. Where is Dr. Atkins now? DEAD. Exercise about 30min a day and don-t eat so much at night eat more breakfast.

no. If I did I would. I quit in 1999 and I gamed over 100 pounds. Everything is so darned tasty and my thyroid stopped working. Every diet fails and I gain back more than what I lost.
Hi, replace frequent smoking with the same in water. Also, If you had fatty breakfasts before (like me), go down to very small ones.

I hope that you continue on the smoke-free life! I-m at a month myself! :)
Drink boiled ginger juice mixed wit honey and lime in the morng in empty stomach..It worked for me..
I know it sounds crazy but it really works. There is this new treatment out for stress, weight loss, and smoking; it is called Ear stapling. I know that sounds painful but it actually hurts less than getting your ear pierced. They but a metal staple like bar in your ear to trigger the brain. They really work. I don-t know where you live but the only places I know that do it are physical therapy and rehab places. Look it up online.

Best way to quit smoking cigarettes? -

im 18 years old and i have been smoking since the end of my senior year. i can feel its toll on my body and i know how bad it is.. so how can i just shed it? if any, are there any really cheap methods, but are also practical? i cant just cold turkey smoking, but i wish i was healthy and happy again.. thanks :) please only reply if you can actually help me because i very much so would like to establish a system to not smoke and keep tabs on it. i cannot wait to better myself with hopefully your answers!
But, you must do it COLD TURKEY...
You should stay away from anyone who smokes; lock yourself in somewhere!
Keep yourself busy with some sort of online game, learn to touch type if you don-t know how or eat more if you-ve got a fast metabolism... Do something.
Just be completely by yourself or with a few people who don-t smoke for 1 week... just 1 week.

it takes 28 days to establish a habit, and 28 days to break one....

the best way, is to throw them away, and quit....

next on the list...is figure out how many you smoke per day...
and smoke one less...
next week one less than that.....
Seen the smoking ads, the best thing to do is go to your GP/doctor and they-ll help guide you from there.

it might not be the cheapest way, but its probably the only way that will acctualy give you results.
You can go to your doctor and they can give you advice and stuff you need to quit.
I would recommend nicotine patches and a stress ball.
I don-t know. My dad only quit smoking after getting lung cancer and laryngeal cancer (lung cancer 2x). He quit cold turkey, but started eating a lot afterward. I think it-s kind of an oral fixation thing to an extent. You could try the nicotine gum or patch, but I know they-re kind of pricey. There-s also the pill you can take, which has a support group, I believe. My dad tried hypnosis also, but it didn-t help at all. Mostly a waste of money. If you feel like you need to put something in your mouth, you could try a lollipop/sucker or gum or something like that instead, see if that helps at all. It-s definitely a chemical addiction, but the longer you go without a cigarette the better. Try to cut down the amount you smoke a little at a time, and eventually, maybe you can find yourself smoking a lot less, and then nothing at all.

Did the patch help you quit smoking? -

I started using the patch today. I-ve tried cold turkey before, and I was a mess! The patch really seems to help take the edge of. Has anyone been successful using the patch before? If not, what did you use?
I used the patch. Like you, it took the edge off. I had my last cigarette on March 24, 2007.

Good luck!
nicotine patch will help you quit smoking in 15 days or less. iuse this and get 100% results. http://pharmacy-online.tk
I took the patch and zyban. I started at 21 mg on the patch and weened down. Zyban I took for 2 months and then I was nicotine free. Zyban basically made me feel like I didn-t care about tobbacco at all. It made my mouth extremely dry though! I also chewed Alot of gum to keep my mouth busy and to deal with the dry mouth side effect. Good luck!

What are the negative side effects to quitting smoking? -

I just recently quit smoking and for some odd reason, have been really drained of energy. Ive been told this could happen.
What other negative side effects can I expect now that I am no longer a smoker? (besides, of course, craving one... oh! and wanting to eat like a hog)
I quit years ago. I have had no negative effects. You keep smoking and you will have boatload of side effects from that. The next time you want a cigarette think about the money, and all of the people who would be alive today had they not smoked. Believe quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for yourself, your friends and your family. Hang in there you can kick the habit. Takes a bigger man not to smoke then to smoke.
That-s it - they are temporary, you ll have craving - feel a lack of energy but this is normal.Congratulations.
yes besides craving a cig. irritability mood swings like being grumpy because you-re trying to hold back on smoking and i think a dry throat. Good Luck :) oh yeah try looking it up on the web like ask.com fab source!!
Hi,

Great post! Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I-ve ever done in my life, and I thought I wasn-t addicted!

Here-s what I tried before finding success: hypnosis, those fake cigaretts, the nicotine patch, and group therapy....none worked.

I finally tried this HERBAL patch I bought 6 months ago on the net. They claim a 97% success rate. Well, it worked! They had a sweet deal which was a free 10 day trial for only $3.95 including shipping (it-s regularly $53 for 10 days)!!

I don-t know if they still have that deal, but it-s worth a try.

However I wanted to lose weight for the summer but my trouble is I just haven-t got the same willpower to give up junk food. I am so sad and frustrated it makes me angry.

Can anybody give me any ideas or advice to help me become more focused?

Thanks in advance :)
I don-t have any advice about losing weight as I struggle with that as well, but I just wanted to congratulate you on being able to not smoke. That takes a great deal of willpower. Maybe you just need to take it easy on yourself and go slow on the weight loss.

Keep up the good work. Good luck.
