Whats the best way for a fifteen year old to quit smoking? -

Just quit right now. Never light another one. Trust me, if I-d known then what I know now I sure would have quit before my health declined due to smoking. You will be doing yourself and your family a HUGE favor by quitting now before you have smoked long enough to get lung damage.

The longer you smoke - the HARDER it is to quit.
It will not be easy, tobacco is probably the most addictive substance in common use in the U.S. If tobacco was discovered right now, it would never get approval by the FDA for common use. But you are dealing with a huge industry, from farmers right up through retailers. It is a high profit item. I would imagine your youth will help you, it will be a physical strain. Cold turkey is the fastest way. Good Luck My congratulations for starting.
I know many who have had to quit smoking, -cold turkey.- It worked for them because they were determined to make it work. Good luck!!!!
Find a hypnotist in your area (Check out the National Guild of Hypnotists on Google) .
Call them or drop by and see if you can cut a deal where you can wash their car or clean their office, you get the idea, to get a couple of sessions.

Visualize how cool you will feel and look when you discover that you took control of a habit that millions have not.

Here is a practical step:

Buy a fresh pack of a different brand every day.
This brings to the conscious mind the fact that your spending a fortune!
Next: decide how many cigarettes you smoke during the day.
Set the times: example, 9;00, 10:00, 11:00 ( I do not know your smoking habit)
Then if that totals 15 take the remainder of cigarettes and destroy them.
Carry a bottle of water with you at all times.

NO CANDY OR GUM! That is just switching the dependency to another object.

At the times appointed:
Take a sip of water (this is associating a good habit with your desire) and ask yourself -Do I really want a cigarette?-

If the answer is yes, light up without guilt and enjoy it!
If the answer is no you have to wait until the next time slot.
You cannot lend or borrow cigarettes.
You will be astounded at how well this works!

If you were carrying a tray of 50 glasses and dropped one, what would you do?

Any cigarettes left at the end of the day must be destroyed!

Brush your teeth as soon as you eat!
Particles of food left in the mouth trigger a bell when your tongue touches them. Food=cigarette!!
Stay await from coffee, and drinks like Pepsi, Coke.
Carry a small bottle of a cinnamon flavored mouthwash.
If between times you get a really bad urge rinse your mouth with it.

I took control of the habit on March 27/84 at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday night. I had smoked for 32 years and had my lung collapse (1980) and still didn-t take control.
They told me I had emphysema and I still didn-t take control.
Having a true desire really makes a huge difference.

Get lung cancer.
try chewing gum and hard candy like jolly ranchers! or whenever you have the urge to light up, do something else with your hands like drawing, chatting online, playing an instrument. a lot of times smoking isn-t just the nicotine addiction, it-s the physical motions of lighting up! keep your hands and mouth busy ( in a healthy and productive way :)) and that should help. hang in there....quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for your body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You-re 15! Stop getting your buddies to buy them for you. Problem solved.
Get a new hobbie to distract yourself, and go cold turkey.
You will be moody in the first two days, but once your system is cleared, you will be fine. Use the new hobbie as a way to distract yourself and focus your thoughts on something else. It is the best and cheapest way to quit.
When I was fifteen and trying to stop smoking there was a class held at my school for it. They told us if we really wanted to stop we could do it by sucking on hot candy like fire balls and any cinnamon candy. It helps because if you take a drag after you eat hot candy it taste really bad so you just put out the cigarette. Also little coffee straws help by having something to put in your mouth and something to with your hands.
