Anyone using chantix to quit smoking? Hows it going? Tell me your story.? -

I-m looking for some motivation. How long have you been off smokes and how do you feel?
I began taking Chantix back in October. For me it was great. As the first week went on I started to get an upset stomach whenever I smoked. That helped turn me off to smoking. The drug itself did a nice job with the physical cravings, but I did still have the behavioral cravings. Those were a bit harder to get over but I managed to hold my own. I took the medicine for about 3 months. Towards the end I would only remember to take it when I thought about having a cigarette. I highly recommend it. It worked great for me and I smoked 1-2 packs a day...more if I went out to the bar.

Hope that helps!
My husband Doug was a smoker for thirty years. He quit in 14 days by using a produce called smoke-away. He had no withdrawal symptoms or weight gain. It-s a great produce in his opinion. He has no urge to smoke and feels great. Now, that he no longer needs to smoke cigarettes. And think of all the money he has saved from not smoking. He has been off cigarettes for five 1/2 years, now.
Chantix is an excellent way to quick smoking quickly with few side effects. For more Chantix information, click the following link:

she quit smoking and now all she does is cough cough cough, what does this mean?? doe sit mean that her body is reacdting back or does it mean that she needs to start smoking again?
Seek Medical Help first...

Nicotine Withdrawal

When smokers try to cut back or quit, the absence of nicotine leads to withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal is both physical and mental. Physically, the body is reacting to the absence of nicotine. Psychologically, the smoker is faced with giving up a habit, which is a major change in behavior. Both must be dealt with if quitting is to be successful.

Withdrawal symptoms can include any of the following:

* dizziness (may only last 1-2 days in the beginning)
* depression
* feelings of frustration and anger
* irritability
* trouble sleeping
* trouble concentrating
* restlessness
* headache
* tiredness
* increased appetite

These symptoms can lead the smoker to again start smoking cigarettes to boost blood levels of nicotine back to a level where there are no symptoms.

If a person has smoked regularly for a few weeks or longer and abruptly stops using tobacco or greatly reduces the amount smoked, withdrawal symptoms will occur. Symptoms usually start within a few hours of the last cigarette and peak about 2 to 3 days later. Withdrawal symptoms can last for a few days to several weeks.
That-s normal. Her lungs are trying to grow healthy again. Cough all that crap out.
Actually, Nicotine paralyzes the cilia in the lungs so that they are unable to perform their natural function. Normally, cilia wave kind of like a wheat field in the wind and push the waste and toxins out of the lungs naturally - when they are paralyzed by the nicotine this function is halted and the waste builds up in the lungs (causing smokers hack, the bodys attempt to force the toxins out), when the smoker quits smoking the cilia begin to function again and new cilia are created - therefore the lungs begin to dislodge all of the nasty stuff that has built up. It should pass within a week or so.
Her body is trying to get rid of the toxins in her system. She will be fine! Hang in there, the both of you.
The deeper parts of her lungs are trying to start working again. Now that she-s not adding more smoke to her lungs, it is finally starting to clear ot of her system. Tell her don-t start smoking, this phase won-t last forever.
her lungs are loosening up the char and build-up that has accumulated over the years...it-s all good. She is healing properly
she-s releasing her lungs of all that crap that she got because of cigs. sonn it-ll stop.
When we smoke and for all the years that we smoked each and every puff on a cigarette destroyed the cilia, or tiny little hair-like projections lining our respiratory tract. These cilia are responsible for filtering out all the impurities we breathe on a daily basis. They line our nose and reach all the way down into our lungs. When we quit smoking, the first thing, essentially to start repairing itself, is the respiratory tract......and as soon as we take the last puff, the cilia start to regenerate themselves. In some people these cilia grow back faster than others.
Could be a withdrawal symptoms nicoitine is a drug!!! See a doctor to determine cause.
Once a person start smoking, the body create more white blood to kill the bateria from smoke. Once he quit, it will the most weakness part of our body. Maybe that-s the reason, but better see doctor to cure the coughing. Of course don-t smoke again, for everybody knows smoking is hazardous to our health.
I quit for 3 years oncce and I was doing the same thing my Dr said my body was getting rid of all the toxins from my lungs from yrs of smoking ,repairing itself I guess you you could put it.Hope she has better luck that I did like a foul I started again. goog luck to your freind
No way does she need to start back up, she should have never started. It-s called withdrawl. She-ll be coughing for a while, while her lungs try to get rid of the smoke, but after a while, she-ll be fine! you might need to take her to a pulmonalogist! go to the doc, and ask for a referral to a pulmonalogist if you think its rly bad.
duh don-t start smoking again

How do I quit smoking !? -

I-ve been smoking for 2 years and i-m 19, I know it-s not to late to quit, and I would really like to.
Let me just start by saying it is definitely not too late! Good for you for wanting to quit before your lungs are black!
I-m not going to lie, it really really sucks. I am a pretty moody person anyways, but when I quit I was HORRIBLE. The terrible mood gets better after a week or two however.
If you think you-re actually addicted to nicotine, patches or gum wouldn-t hurt. You-re old enough to buy them legally, but they-re a little on the expensive side.
Just keep yourself busy. Go for a walk. Carry a massive water bottle around and take a drink every time you want a cigarette. If you-re worried about weight gain switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet for a few weeks. If you miss having something in your hand, hold a pen. If you miss having something in your mouth keep a stick of gum in your mouth at all times.
I found it helped to come up with a list of reasons why you want to quit to keep yourself motivated. Just think -- your hair and clothes won-t smell like smoke! Your breath and teeth will improve! You will decrease your chances for a lot of diseases! You-ll save a TON of money!
Find your triggers. Mine were driving and drinking. I found that while driving if Icranked up the most obnoxious song on my iPod to a deafening level it drowned out the craving. I had to just completely avoid alcohol for a month, there was no way I could have drank without smoking in the beginning.
Just remember it is possible! If you slip up don-t give up, smoking one or two cigarettes does not qualify you as a smoker again! Good luck!
Well youre definitely not alone

How did you quit smoking? -

What is the most effective method for smoking cessation? I am a slave to Mr. C, and I do not want to trade one bad habit for another. I have tried the patch, gum, and an anti-depressant. I always let Mr. C. convince me that I need him, and I let him back in my life. What worked for you?

This is my 5th attempt to stop. I started 22 years ago. I am heavy smoker, but I smoke very light cigarettes (friends call it grass clippings). Also, I tend to let a great number of them burn up. I think I can get past the nicotine dependence. The psychological dependence gets me every time. Please help! I want to be a former smoker.

Cold turkey IF you feel you really want to quit. Or try this site: Freedom from smoking.

Mr. C. was my best friend too until I realized I was my best friend... Good luck!!!
I don-t smoke, but my friend and his wife did, and they tried to stop year after year and couldn-t. This is how they finally did it:

They switched to something called -American Cigarettes.- He said they were more expensive than regular cigarettes, unfiltered, and tasted awful! BUT - all they had in them was tobacco. The name brand cigarettes have chemicals in them that KEEP YOU ADDICTED to them.

Once they smoked the plain, nasty ones for about 6 months, then they slowly started tapering off, and they were able to quit! It-s been almost 2 years, and I am so proud of them.

Good luck to you - I know you can do it, too!
What really helped me was to keep a big pack of sugarless bubble gum around. Then when I needed a butt I-d have a piece of gum. Try it! And good luck!
I quit on December 20th,2005 (if it was easy, i wouldn-t remember the exact date...lol). I taper my cigs to 2 a day and quit after a week of that. What helped me is changing my habits, the time I wake up, what I do first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and yes I did refrain from hanging out with my smoking friends for a couple of months.
It was a long gradual thing for me. At first I cut out smoking inside my home, made myself go outside. Then cut out smoking in the car. I live in California so smoking in bars went out years ago and the thought of leaving my friends to go out for a smoke became silly.

Eventually I was down to 1 or 2 a day. I never smoked when I was sick with the flu or a cold so one time when I had a cold and had gone a week without smoking I thought, screw it, let-s see how long I can do this. It-s been a year, just over actually. October 1 was my year of being smoke free.

I had tried in the past and tried lots of different things. I think at some point you-re just ready and you-re better equipped to deal with the withdrawl. I stopped craving them after about 10 days.
I can-t tell you how many times I tried to quit, and then I did. I had my last cigarette at 8:38am July 2, 2002. At 9:10am, July 2nd 02 I had a major heart attack at the age of 49. I was driving on the highway at 70 miles an hour when my right coronary artery blocked 100%. I can still tell you to this day what went through my mind as I: A) struggled not to pass out, B) get the car down an exit ramp C) breath through the unbelievable pain...my thoughts were of my disabled husband and what would he do without me...of my mother who at the time was 83 and had already buried her son, husband, parents, and all of her brothers and sisters...I was/am all she has left. What about my 2 girls, had I told them everything they needed to know to be good women?
Those things kept me conscience and kept me alive. I fought like hell to live, and cigarettes tried like hell to kill me. And to think, they wanted to kill me and I-d loved them for over 20 years!! I took them everywhere with me, spent hard earned money on them, gave them fancy cases, and drew them into my body...what more did they want?? Turns out the answer is, they want your life.
How is this going to help you? I-m not sure. I-m just a woman who used to love to smoke. I LOVED it. Then I found out I love the people in my life more...I love life more. Don-t give you-re life to cigarettes. I-m sure your family would rather have you with them...I-m sure there are things you want to do yet in life. The Doc-s told me smokers who don-t get cancer get it in the head (strokes) or the heart. And don-t kid yourself, light cigs will kill you just at fast as my Kool 100-s in a box.

I have a stint in my heart now. I came out of the hospital 3 days after with no desire to smoke. But, I hedged my bets...I gave up caffeine, I walked after eating (instead of smoking), and I looked at the photo the hospital gave me of my heart during the attack, the artery closed off. It scared me off them. Oh, and my husband still smokes...doesn-t make me want one. I-m done with them.
So, I guess I told you this thinking it might help in some small way, I sure hope so. And I wish you all the best. Prayer never hurts either. Good luck!!
my dad smoked and he stopped by just not smoking. I dont how he could STOP but he did it. You have to be totally determined and feel that you really deserve to be smoke-free. To stop myself from over-eatting though, I put an ice cube in my mouth and just let it melt. I have a deep love for ice cubes now, though.
start drinking, i reccomend the expensive stuff, if not switch to boonesfarm wines
Im a smoker trying to quit, my husband is trying too. Its been 4 days now and its getting easier. We go outside when we have a weak moment and smoke a real strong cig. It makes us sick and dizzy. We have gone from 2 packs a day, to 6 cigs a day.

This is how we-re doing it, and I believe itll work. We are, if anything, cutting down our nicotine level, so eventually we wont want anymore. We are determined to kick the habit.

Everyone is different and does it a different way. Just dont give up on wanting to quit. Trying to quit and wanting to quit is a step forward. Dont beat yourself up if you fail the first time. Some ppl do it easier than others. Some ppl need more time.

My hubby and I have smoked for a very long time, 32 yrs for him, and 21 yrs for me. We-re doing much better, but havent kicked it yet. BUT WE WILL.

Keep trying gf, you can do it. I-ll say a prayer for you right now, and I wish you all the luck in the world.
every single time i would think about getting a cigarette
i would just go chew some mint flavored gum and i wouldn-t buy them and i just kept going Thur that method and i Finlay managed to quit

2 miles a day and am taking yoga 3x a week. Is this normal to be this exhausted when you go from bad habits to good?
Your exhaustion might stem from another source altogether such as poor dietary intake.

Please let me know. If it did, tell me how and did you gradually decrease the gum you chewed each day. How many pieces did you chew each day? If it didn-t work, please tell me why? I-m trying to quit.
I totally helped me quit, until I ran out of the gum. That stuff is worthless
i never smoked but all i can say is cold turkey.
No, Nicorette gum doesn-t work it-s all bull.
just throw the pack away dont buy any more clean all the ashtrays and chow on some thing when ur getting a craving i dont belive gum its hard but ur health is so much better when u stop ive been good for 3 months and not even craving it
Don-t listen to people who don-t smoke!
I smoke. I haven-t tried to quit yet, but, my mom did 6 years ago and she still chews the hell out of that gum. Not nearly as much as when she first quit but i-d say like 4 to 5 pieces a day now.
You get addicted to the gum.

I quit smoking almost a year ago, now having a hard time breathing? -

Coughing up a bunch of stuff, and I get short of breath alot. It got worse when I got pregnant. I-ve been only recently being productive with my coughing. Is this normal? When will it stop?
Yes quite normal. It is even normal in pregnancy even if you did not smoke previously. We tend to retain fluid when we are pregnant.... most times it affects our sinuses. I was pregnant with 5 of my other friends....we all had the same problem... mucus producrtion somewhere in the middle to end of our pregnancies. It should end a few days or weeks after your baby is born and the fluid has drained off of you.

What is the best way to quit smoking...please only people that have quit (reply)? -

I have been thinking about quiting smoking. I have attempted in the past with no luck. It-s either stress, craving or lack of follow through that gets me. If anyone has advice that has worked for them and would not mind sharing, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
I found that what made it easiest was replacing the oral fixation on something else ... what I mean is you-re used to taking a break and having a cigarette as part of your routine ... try keeping lollipops around or gum... I had a friend who quit by keeping a water bottle around her and every time she wanted a smoke she-d just drink water until she had to do something else ... I found that the biggest obstacle that came with quitting smoking was the psychological one rather than the physical one ... good luck and stick to it!!! I know you can do it.
It-s tough. I tried for a couple of years and wasn-t able to quit until I ditched the source of my stress-the old boyfriend. One day about a month later I picked up a partial pack of cigarettes and just knew it was my last. I finished them that evening and the next morning I was a non-smoker and have been ever since. No cravings and never even thought about it again. I just didn-t need to smoke anymore.
I don-t know if that will be any help to you, but that-s what happened to me.
Be close with god..and always think somone is watchin you while u lite a cigerrate...

Another, try lookin on something makes you scary..think abt it...divert your mind by the way using a gum or a wink..

Quit in a oneway attempt ratherthan quittin slowly...it will help you more..

Regards..
Alex...

How can I make my boyfriend quit smoking? -

How can I make my boyfriend quit smoking? -

Just like any addiction the person has to want to stop. You cannot make him quit.
1.Try to involve him in activities that you enjoy that might make smoking more difficult - hiking, camping, etc.
2. In a positive way tell him that his health is important to you and that if he decides to quit you will be right there for him
3. If you or any family member has asthma or allergies ask him to at least smoke out side or when you are not in the car
4. there is hypnotism
5. a shot (ask a doctor)
6. nicotine gums/patches

Every person is different. Just try not to nag because, even if you are right, people in general tend to want to defend their position even if it is bad for them. Good luck and be patient.
I like answer No.2
Take apart all of his cigarettes and put them in his cereal.
like everyone else said to you, you can-t, and nagging won-t help matters either, it will make him smoke more, i know as a smoker and from hearing my mom naging my dad for years, it don-t help, it makes us smoke more, its like when you nag someone to quit something or like in my case years ago, i was nagged to lose weight by my ex mother in law, instead of listening to her, i ate more and got more heavier and binged, i know my ex mother in law meant well, but the pressure of her on me for her wanting to lose weight made me do the opposite. talk to him, tell him how you feel one time and then leave it at that, if he really wants to lose weight, he-ll do it, also tell him when you do talk to him about how you feel about it, tell him when he-s ready to quit smoking, that you-ll help him out in any you can.
You cant make him quit, he willl when hes ready, and no matter what you do, it will not help him quit till then!!!
You can-t. He will quit only if HE WANTS to quit. The same with anyone who smokes. The person has to want to before it will happen.
Well, unfortunately you can-t. Quitting only works when the person chooses to do this for themselves. And only when they are good and ready. Ultimatums or even a health scare may not be enough for someone to quit. It has to be when they are ready to quit, or else they will not succeed. A helpful suggestion may be to show him a picture of a smoker-s lungs and reiterate the fact that you care about his health and want him to live a long life. But remember, pressure and ultimatums never work. If you are dead set on being with someone who smokes, gently explain this. Perhaps, you will need to part ways. But at least you will both have a choice in the matter. Good Luck
You can-t.
You really can-t make him quit. The best way would be to convince him. Have a serious talk with him about your concern for his health and the possibity of losing him to cancer. You could also tell him that it would cause more harm to your lungs than to his, making you more likely to receive lung cancer from secondhand smoke because your lungs are not used to breathing the smoke. If all else fails, tell him that the kissing experience is making you woozy:)

How do I get my boyfriend to quit smoking weed? -

I-ve been dating my boyfriend for about 2 weeks and I would really like him to stop smoking weed, but he wont.He means alot to me, and so therefore that makes me scared for him. He says that he would quit for me, but not right away.I don-t know what to do, HELP!
I don-t know if you CAN stop him, he has to want to stop. you-ve only been together for 2wks and how long has he been smoking? do you really think he-ll stop for you? Or will he just be lying to you so early on in this relationship about the fact that he has stopped? Maybe the best thing for you to do is to decide if your willing to go on further with someone that has such a strong habit. If you feel like you can stay with him then set some ground rules like: When you go out he must be sober, or you don-t want to smell the weed on him ect.

But on the other hand if you can-t stay with him because of this then walk away, but let him know you care and can-t stand what he-s doing to himself. Afterall its only been 2wks.
first of all this is the story of my life and I have been dating my bf for 2 yrs not wks and I still dont know what to do.
second of all whoever told you to try it, dont.. its pointless it wont help your relationship.
third of all whoever said it doesnt affect your health is a real idiot googleit

burn44killer makes a very good point. Marijuana is not dangerous, though it is illegal. There is a world of data available to prove this point. After two weeks, you really should not be trying to change his way of life. Furthermore, the fact that you want to change his style of living indicates that you do not really like him for who he is, but rather who you want him to be. Generally, when you try to change someone-s life against his will, he will resent you for it, and you might end up getting dumped for your own anal retentiveness. The best course of action for you would be to dump him. He won-t really care, trust me, I used to smoke weed every day, and I wouldn-t have cared as long as I had a good supply of cheeseburgers and Kool-aid. Try to use this advice in future relationships and as a general rule try not to date stoners if you don-t like marijuana. Best of luck to you.
okay my boyfriend smokes
weed about everyday
ever since i met him i have asked him
to stop
made him promise
threatended him i was going to leave
him talk to him about how weed is bad
and he would be better without it.

NOTHING works
and you know what
he said he would quit for me too
that he would to anything for me
and that he wants to quit

whatever he tells you its not true
he will not quit unless he wants to
no matter what you tell him what you do
he wont

i been with my boyfriend for
14 months!
he quits for 3 days and goes back
to it. the most he quit for was 1 week!

unless your boyfriend is the opposite of mine
he wont change and the fact that he smokes weed
affects you emotionally if you stay in the relationship
you guys will argue about him smoking since you dont
like it and it will get out of hand so if you really like him
stay with him just no that he wont stop or change for you
men dont change trust me my mom drug addict x was in the hospital
for over dosing on some shiet he was in the intensive care room about to die he gets out and starts doing more shiet then goes to jail and
this guy started smoking weed at 13 and now look at him 38 and doing more bad stuff.
if you like him then dont try to change him it wont work
you can try try and it might work but most likely it wont
im sorry but thats the truth and i know because i been
with my boyfriend for so long haha
see how much i wrote.
another thing it really affects me emotionally that he smokes
weed because i know that it will eventually become cancer
in someplace in his body and i know that the things his doing
is not gonna get him somewhere good in life i love him and
it would kill me if something happen to him.
so yeahh
haha
bye
shiet gets in jail
You can-t make him do anything. Quitting weed is something he-ll have to do on his own. He should want to quit so his head isn-t all in the clouds when you-re around. He should want to quit because he wants to be able to get a good job or do better in school.

If you knew he smoked before you dated then you-re going to have to live with the fact that he-ll continue to smoke until he-s ready to stop. If you threaten to break up with him over it, even if he does quit he-ll always resent you for that. Making a bigger issue out of something that wasn-t a dealbreaker to begin with when you first started dating. Just be thankful he-s not doing speed or popping pills.
Other than the fact that smoking weed is illegal, there is no difference between smoking and drinking. In fact one could make the argument that alcohol if far more dangerous both to an individuals health and to society as a whole. So unless you plan on both asking him not to drink and not drinking yourself, it it presumptuous of you to ask someone to stop smoking weed based on your own bias. Either he is not right for you or he is, but trying to make him stop doing something in order for him to be -better- for you......recipe for disaster my friend.
First of all I can clearly see from your question that you have neither the intellect nor the social composure to engage in a healthy relationship. With that being said, for the sake of humanity please stay in school and actually listen to the teacher but most of all, don’t reproduce! The world is so very full of stupidity I fear that anything you spawn will likely follow in your welfare check trailer trash footsteps.
There-s nothing you can do. You can-t make someone quit drugs or alcohol, any more than you can make someone use those things.

He has his own free will. So you have a choice to make: is it worth being around someone who smokes weed?

If you decide you do want to be around him, I suggest you look into Nar-anon. They will help you deal with the aspects of having a family member or friend who uses.
Well always be with him and when he goes to get a joint turn round a say I don-t want you smoking that stuff around me... And then like leave whenever he does it... This could however work in two ways - He will start smoking less joints or e spends less time with you xx I also think it is his own decision though x
well however old he is, subtract two weeks from tht.
okaye, hes been living the way he wants to for that long.
hes not going to change that way for someone hes only been with for two weeks. if you want him to quit, and your still together in 6 months then that would be different.
if you like him then you shouldn-t want to change him. it-s okay to express concern and have him not do it around you but don-t try to change him because i-ve seen a lot of relationships end because of things like that.
why are you scared? lol. weed is not addictive. its not bad at all. better than smoking cigarrettes and/or drinking alcohol.
try it yourself and you will see!!!
dont force someone to stop doing something that they like to do.
the answer is in the site in my sources
youve been dating for 2 weeks, not 2 years so you dont necessarily have any right to tell him how to live his life. its weed not heroin.
you should start to smoke weed with him and get hooked.. so you can smoke weed when you sleep haha
Theres nothing wrong with smoking weed. Get some proof then critizize it,
Tell him its a turn off.
ok i had the same pormbel ok i never quit i still goin out with him today but hear is what i goin to tell u most tell him to stop or ur goin to break up with him it works

If you have hives that means you are probably allergic to some ingredient in that pill. (That-s why it isn-t listed as a side effect). Stop taking it and call your doctor immediately. If you can-t get a hold of him, call a pharmacist.

What have you found to be the best way to quit smoking for good? -

Let me know what worked for you.
First,,,you gotta really want to quit. Thats the key. If you are just thinking about quitting, that won-t do it. If you really, really want to quit, lay em down and tell yourself, thats it. If you can make the first 3 or 4 days, you can quit. I smoked for 30 years, 2 packs a day, and I wanted to quit. So, I laid them down and that was it. You can quit if you really want to. You don-t need a bunch of smoke quitting aids and doctors help. JUST QUIT.
I quit cold turkey out of fear after visiting a hospital cancer ward and viewing the patients that were dying from lung cancer. It-s a horrible way to die.
never start
Read this book:The Easy Way To Stop Smoking by Alan Carr
My father, a lifelong smoker of 3-4 packs a day, tried pretty much everything and failed - until he tried hypnosis - and never smoked again.
glad to help, for am one of thos pious ex smokers.
25cigs a day habit, 15-30 ,now 37 and smoke free for 7 years.
first your doing the right thing by quitting , they stink, bad for your helth, and getting more exspensive.
I found some fotos of dead smokers lungs on the web one day and that got me motivated.
start conditoning by not smoking inside and not in the car ever.
I went on the Zyban program from my dr. (he used to smoketoo)
follow what the kit tells you. take the meds get down to minimum 3 a day, am noon night. i would even buy a pack just to get the one and throw it out so i couldnt get more. you can do it cuz i thought there was no way i could do it.you can i gained weight due to craving fatty foods but still fa more healtheir and wealthier than when i smoked.
the best way to quit smoking is your determination and will to quit...you yourself can help.
The nicotine patch worked for my boyfriend.
im not a smoker but ill try my best to help though..

want to stop but cant stop?..thats a very hard thing to do, stopping something..

cigarettes are full of nicotine, and tartar too..but the main focus here is nicotine..its what making you want to smoke..your addiction to it..and nicotine-s also an overthecounter drug..

trying to stop immediately and suddenly will only make your life worse..dont stop immediately or suddenly..

lets take for an example..you smoke 10 sticks of cigarettes everyday (some people smoke more..)..if you want to stop then make a schedule..deduct one stick for every week (you may say for every 2 or 3 weeks..)do that until you now only smoke 1 stick of cigarette..the after that..maintain..until you now smoke every other day..they every 3 days..until you quited completely..

sorry..im not a great explainer but hope you got the idea..
just quit, cold turkey and avoid smoke filled places for quite awhile.
pregnancy [ not me, my wife]
Reduce your cigarete day by day.
This is what I did.
I usually some one pack a day. the next week, I reduce it to one pack for two days. Then, for three days, four days, and so on and so on. After a few weeks, I am able to smoke just one cigarete a day. Now, I am smoking one cigarete a month. I saved it for the best time of the month.
Okay, so I didn-t consider myself as quit smoking, but it-s a whole lot better then before, doesn-t it?
I ate food around a used ashtray... It use to get me so sick .
I played bingo when I quit until I got sick of the smoke smell on my clothes good luck to you in quitting
What have you found to be the best way to quit smoking for good? -

Think it depends on how much you were smoking it. Thinking it takes about a week or so. Drink lots of fluids to help flush it out of your system. On Judge Judy (on tv) one time I seen her irate with someone and she said that they can test hair follicles up to like 5 or 6 months.

Know someone that-s a truck driver, and he used to smoke - he did it very rarely so if he got checked at a weigh station (or his employer had a random drug testing) he was safe (he use to not smoke it unless he had a 4 day weekend coming up). And NO I-m not saying anyone should use it here. He was about your weight - about 6 - 1-.

When I was younger I use to smoke with friends (never did anything stronger) and I never liked to go out in public (i.e. the store) because I wasn-t in full control and someone would see me...lol...course was always the passenger in a vehicle not a driver. Good luck on your being free - feels good don-t it. Have a good one!
It could depend on how much of it you were smoking before you stopped. If you were smoking a lot it will take longer to completely be out of your system. If it wasn-t very much it should be about out of your system. I think you can buy a pee test at a drug store to test yourself and see if there is still any trace left to be sure.
more than a year...

even that you lungs won-t heal or look like a non smoker lung.

so just keep it easy, start walking and do some excersice activity...
THC bonds with fat cells it will stay in your body a long time, whether or not it is at a detectable level is another question.

Lots depends on your body fat ratio, the more body fat, the longer its there.

Drinking cranberry juice or any other such thing will not get rid of it.

Most drug tests look for this kind of stuff when they run the tests and if the see an abnormally high result they can declare your test inconclusive which would be the same as a positive test.
DRINK A LOT OF CRANBERRY JUICE.

like **** loads. it speeds it up
6 months
It takes about 6 weeks, if you did it ones. If you abuse thc for some time, it takes up to 3 months. You can shorten that amount of time when you drink a huge amount of water. I have a friend who cleaned himself within 6 days. He drank like 15 liters a day.
it should be out by now. 4 weks i believe
