How can I quit smoking? -
I have tried the patch. I have tried cold turkey. I have tried cutting back slowly, I have tried the gum. I have tried wellbutrin.
well everytime you go to get a smoke i can hit you in the face with a shovel or you can attatch the cig to a live wire
Replace smoking with something else such as something healthy and I know it will be hard but if you really want to do it you-re going to have to make a sacrifice. If that doesn-t work, contact your doctor and ask him if he can do something about it.

use the patches, gum too. I am trying to stop too. I did actually for three months and then started again. SO I understand difficult. Try patches and see if that helps. Good luck.
Pfizer has a product called Nicotrol, which is basically a pipe with a nicotine capsule in it. You don-t light it, but you do inhale the nicotine when you need to. An elderly neighbor of mine, who smoked for 50 years has recently quit with this, and he swore he-d never quit smoking.So, go to a doctor, and ask them about it to give it a try. It can-t hurt, can it?
buy a pack of smokes. smoke one of them and crush the rest.
then wait until you would have smoked up the entire pack have you not crushed them up and do it again.
after a while you will stop smoking hopefully.

Do the patch again, 21mg but in order for you to quit you have to want to and you need to commit to it...when I did the patch I only used it for 3 weeks. I have tried everything to. Try the patch again, for me it took the craving away, but you need to break the habit. If you drink coffee stop, after you eat go for a walk, do a crossword, do something to take your mind off of it...its hard but think of your health.

Take your cigarette pack and throw it away.
Contact a specialist. It may help. Or try to distract yourself thinking about other things. Have fun, don-t get nervous or stressed. Just stay relaxed if you can.

A friend just quit with the patch. She had one cigarrette in the morning before putting on the patch and didn-t smoke again for the rest of the day. After a month of bragging I told her that she really hadn-t quit till she gave up the one a day habit. She took my advice and is now smoke free. It was easier that she expected to give it up.
What started the whole thing was she had to choose between a carton of smokes or medication for her sick dog. She smoked a carton a week so her cigarette payment was her second biggest monthly expense after the house payment. She can do a lot more now without breathing heavy.
Your mind is more powerful than you think. You have to be determined to quit. You don-t -try- to quit. You just quit.

thus you must have a strong determination, so strong that u will not fall for even the most unhappy/mind boggling news.
On that note i will say try to involve your leisure time with something like listening to music, do something which makes u more happier than smoking.
do something which will relieve your stress.
people smoke because they feel stressed. And I tell u if u do something to relieve yourself it would be of help defintely.
so up to now you probably know that nothing really works... I just have to let you know... You can quit simply by quiting. Every time you want to smoke you will have to pass. I just had a friend quit smoking with the help of hypnosis. He is much happier, and is substituting walking, bicycling, etc.
Limit your cigs, and slowly start to take them away, and never say that you are quitting only that you are cutting down. That is how I did it, and now I only have a cig. when I feel like it, which is about 1 or 2 a year.
I went to a hypnotist in 1986 and I am very happy to say I am still a non smoker. It is never an easy thing to do but it will be one of the best things you have ever done for yourself and your family. Good luck in your venture and don-t give up. You can-t cut back slowly, it just teases you. Give it another try!
I am trying too. I set a date and now am only allowing myself to smoke 1 every two hours. then every 3 hours. I have to watch the clock and fight with myself but I am going to kick this. I have to.
Just be determined and dont allow the addicition to win. Promise your self a treat if you can make it a day without one.
It is such a hard thing to do. I hope I kick it this time.
I have been down the same road as you, yes it is very hard to do, it is in the mind, i had tried everything on the market, it had cost me a pretty penny, i was spending as much on stop smoking products, as i was on smoking, finally, a couple of years back now, i started to train my mind to hate smoking, every time i wanted a smoke i would take it in that i hated it, it took 3 weeks, but i did it, i wouldn-t have minded if it took longer, all i ever thought about was, I HATE SMOKING, as Ive said it worked for me, now i cant stand anybody who smokes around me, and i cant wait for next year, when it becomes illegal to in public places, so i can go places where there isn-t the STENCH of smoke.
