I quit smoking 8 weeks ago! Now I have noticed a metallic taste in my mouth.? -
Its to where I can hardly stand it.
Take out your retainer !
you are probaly getting a sense of taste back, when you smoke the heat on your tongue deadens your sense of taste, plus the nasty taste it left, once you have allowed your pallate to cleanse, you retain that sense of taste, brush your teeth.
Drink a lot of water to clean out your system.
I quit smoking over ten years ago and I don-t recall a metallic taste. I remember smelling and tasting things a lot better and I could breath deeply without coughing. It-s great to be smoke free.
It is a common symptom. Don-t worry. Just like all the other quit symptoms, it will pass with time.
Bless your heart and congratulations on your success.
