Another health question.Has anyone ever heard of a person that quit smoking suffers from severe headaches? -
My husband has not smoked for a little over a month after many many yrs as a 2 anh half pack a day,and never suffered from headaches before but now has them constantly,I told him I think its all in his head and he became pretty irate with my choice of wods, but really any body ever heard of this?
Yes. Nicotine withdrawal isn-t pretty and can produce many symptoms. It-ll pass. If he-s still smoking off and on and still trying to kick the habit for good with minimal side effects, there-s a new product called Chantix that his doctor can prescribe for him. It helps with the physiological effects of quitting smoking.
If he is having headaches that he didn-t have before he needs to see the doc and find out what is causing them. Unexplained headaches is something that has to be checked at the docs to find out what is going on.
Carbon Monoxide in smoke numbs the brain so his brain is waking up so that could be normal. I have seen one guy drool like a dog when he stopped smoking.
Do not ever say to someone that it is in your mind. How would you like it if your husband said to you that he never said that he had headaches and you imagined it. Maybe you are imagining that you are on the computer now when you are not. Actually your husband killed you said that and you are dead now. But you cannot accept it, so you are imagining that you are still alive.
He should try to eat healthier now. See this site for healthier diet.

When I quit smoking I had headaches until my cravings stopped.
His body is detoxing. Eventually they will go away, but he should talk to his doctor,or chew nicorette gum to help the system get over the shock of the toxins being removed.
