I quit smoking about two months ago, and Im still getting the tight chest - help!? -

Yeah so I quit two months ago and I keep getting the horrible tight chest feeling in the morning when I wake up like I-ve been out the night before and smoked 40 cigarettes. What-s that about?
I don-t know from your question if you are taking any meds or if you have something like emphysema or copd which would help with an answer.

I had some of that when I quit but I have both emphysema, copd use meds all the time and also on oxygen. The meds the doctor gave me to help was an over the counter pill called mucenex its an expectorant that helps break up the congestion. You need to get rid of all the crap that the lungs collected from all the smoking you have done.

You have given yourself the best gift you can give yourself by stopping smoking. Please do not go back it simply isn-t worth it.
