How can i quit smoking???? i quit for a while and then go back again!!!? -

how can i permanently quit!!!! i always quit for a week or 2 and go back ??? once wquit for 3 months but i smoked again.
Set up a stop date a few weeks in advance. This will give you enough time to prepare yourself for the upcoming changes. Moreover, this will allow you to start some medical treatment.

On your stop smoking day, throw away all your cigarettes. This will not only prevent easy access to cigarettes but also will have a huge psychological impact on you.

Avoid places and situations that would prompt you to lighting up a cigarette. For example if you light up your first cigarette with your morning coffee, replace it with herbal tea; avoid going to pubs or night clubs during your first ex-smoker weeks.

Get stop smoking aids after consulting with your doctor. Nicotine patches or gums may help you a lot in the smoking cessation process and relieve the withdrawal symptoms.

Start saving the money that you used to spend on cigarettes. You will soon discover that you have put aside enough to buy something nice for yourself.

Regular sports or physical activity will be beneficial to you. Start with long walks, buy a bike and cycle to your work or just for fun, rollerblade, or go swimming. Any physical activity is good and it is up to you to pick up the ones that most suit your personality. Sport will not only help improve your appearance but it will help your body detox and reduce both the cravings and the cessation symptoms. Consider completing a body detox program after you kick the habit, to finally rid your body of all of the harmful toxins.

Change your eating habits, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and drink a lot of liquids. A healthy diet will prevent you from gaining weight, and reduce the withdrawal symptoms.

Ask your family and friends to be supportive. The first week after you put away the cigarettes you will be nervous and irritable so it is vital that they understand your behavior and help you.

Set yourself up for success by devising rewards for yourself. For example “if I do not smoke for a couple of weeks I will buy ...” You can promise yourself a big prize if you manage not to smoke for three months - something like a vacation or a trip to an exotic place.

Be very patient and believe that you can do it.

The Bottom line of it all.. You must have a firm resolve in yourself that you want to quit... then do everything i said above.. If it still does not work, try to cut down cigarettes smoked by 2 sticks per day until you end up with none smoked.. It will prevent withdrawal symptoms... Good luck!!
Well my best friends dad recently stopped he had been smoking for AGES!! I think he just stopped. And also my mums best friend stopped and everytime she wanted a smoke she would have a lollipop. This helped and she eventually got off the lolly pop habit and then stopped altogether.

there are things on the market that is suppose to help you BUT I didn-t use any of them because of all the feedback I got from people who used them. - the gum -,several people told me they used it and got sores in their mouth - tongue.- the patch - several people who used this was burned it looked like someone held something really hot on their arm . - the inhaler- they had a bad sore throat. so I went -cold turkey - I smoked for 53 years and quit 4 years ago. it is a long hard struggle for the first month but gets easier with time.but it all depends on your desire to quit. good for you for wanting to quit I can now breath better ,can fully taste my food and smell better. I never knew that my clothes smelled so bad.good luck you won-t be sorry you quit.
If you are able to last for 3 months the rest is just willpower.
You can only help yourself, it-s your choice what you want to do, no one else-s. You have to want to quit.
If it-s more of a habit rather than an addiction just occupy yourself with activities or hobbies.
The first week or two are the hardest, after that it just gets easier.

Best of luck
Just don-t do it no matter what. Nothing is sadder then breaking a promise to yourself. Just mentally understand that no mattter how much you feel like it, don-t do it no matter what.

Everytime you feel like one, just don-t, its that simple
JUST DONT
No matter what you tell yourself
JUST DONT
It is just willpower. Any of the placebo-s will help but only slightly lower your craving.

You have to be determined to do it and not get in the situation where you are tempted, i.e after meal, out with (smoking) mates.

It just down to you - WILLPOWER
maybe use nicotine patches, or nicotine gum? chewing normal gum might also make the craving go away for a while. get rid of all the smokes you have, if its hard to get one, you might stop.
Stop lighting them. Worked for me
