What kind of withdrawal symptoms do smokers go through when they quit smoking? -

Cravings and withdrawal symptoms when you quit smoking are a common experience.
It is the way your body reacts when it stops getting nicotine and all the other chemicals in tobacco smoke.
Some withdrawal symptoms will come and go over a period of a few days. Most are gone within three weeks and not every smoker is affected to the same degree.
Cravings. Each one lasts 3 -5 minutes, and may be strong. Over time however, cravings will happen less often. More about cravings below.Headaches (occasional), indigestion, nausea, diarrhoea and sore throats rarely last more than four days.
Try usual over the counter remedies for these symptoms.
Insomnia and an increased tendency to dream.
Tea and coffee contain caffeine and, without nicotine, your body absorbs much more of this stimulant, which can make you restless, irritable and sleepless for a while.
Try drinking less tea and coffee, make your cups weaker.
Consider coffee substitutes, water, fruit juice and caffeine-free cola drinks.
Coughing most commonly caused by the cilia that line your lungs cleaning out the tar and mucus.
Irritability, depression or anxiety are closely connected to the physical action of nicotine leaving your body and will lessen over one to three weeks.
Increased appetite and possible weight gain.
Tiredness and lack of concentration.
Try and relax more during the first few weeks any tiredness will pass.
Take a break from what your doing and take a short walk if possible to help concentration.
The first few days after you quit can be the hardest.
The most problematic symptom tends to be cravings.
I guess it-s different for everyone, but when I don-t smoke for a while, I just get a bit cranky and crave a cigarette. In my opinion this whole -addiction- craze put out by the media has led everyone, even smokers, to believe that nicotine is much more addictive then it really is.
you get more hungry irritable at times and ive seen some smokers shake cause they needed nicotine but otherwise if u keep ur hands occupied and ur mind off of smoking and chew gum u wont get the hungry symptom some even let go to smoking and start putting salt on everything which is really bad
People feel low ..lack of interest in activities and excessive hunger and thurst.

u need to be in the outdoor , active life to get out of it ...

developing a hobby like playing a game ( outdoor) join for swimming calsses or go swimming can help
people become retsless anddepressed. they keep longing for smoking again. addicts to smoking can-t quit smoking easily. they should go to some rehabilitation centres.
Irritability! That-s the biggest complaint. Smokers don-t only complain about it, there friends and families complain about it too.
they stop smoking for awhile, and then start up again cause of stress, they might get cranky, crabby, an might not be thereselves!
LETS JUST SAY THEY ARE A LITTLE IRRITABLE!!!!!

really.
I-ve gone through it many times.
Its the main reason why people go back to it - because they cant stand the feeling of wanting to throttle everyone to death.
feeeeeling more hungry
nothing realy except for want to smoke
