Nicotine Anonymous is a Non-Profit 12 Step Fellowship of men and women helping each other live nicotine-free lives. Nicotine Anonymous welcomes all those seeking freedom from nicotine addiction, including those using cessation programs and nicotine withdrawal aids. The primary purpose of Nicotine Anonymous is to help all those who would like to cease using tobacco and nicotine products in any form. The Fellowship offers group support and recovery using the 12 Steps as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous to achieve abstinence from nicotine
My wife tried for years by throwing out her cigarettes and all we had to do was stop and buy more. She couldn-t quit until she was ready. When she made up her mind she put her pack of smokes in the freezer so she wouldn-t panic for not having cigarettes handy, and she just stopped smoking and never took another puff. You have to put hour mind to it.
I think this is one of your best decisions. You must know what are the advantages of quitting:

This will keep you motivated throughout. My friend was chain smoker and he quit. He use to say, just be mentally strong and you can do it. Here are some tips that helped him:

it is a matter of will - focus your will on it and it-s easy. Just say to yourself: I despise smoking, I hate the smell and dislike the taste.

Or you can look at it like Earnest Hemingway who said: its easy to quit smoking, I did it hundreds of times :-))
