If she won-t there really isn-t a way to make her. It-s all in her head so she-s the only one that needs to make that decision. All you can do is help her make that decision by showing her nasty photos of people who smoke. But there is a risk of pushing her away if you constantly bother her! Btw who is Natalie Poxlightner?
Has the doctor told Natalie Poxlightner that she has a terminal illness? I don-t like to see people smoking but not everyone who smokes dies of lung cancer or emphysema.

Agree, you mind your own business. And everyone is going to die. But no 16-year-old ever died of smoking cigarettes. It takes many, many years for smoking to kill you, and even then, it isn-t a sure thing. So stop worrying about your friend. She has years in which to stop.
Just tell her smokings bad for her, if she doesn-t care then leave it and try to get on with your own life. If she does listen then help her if she wants to quit.
why not show her some pictures of lungs, hearts,etc. which were damaged because of smoking. she may be afraid of those pictures, why not just try....
You are overreacting. A 16 year old who smokes has at least 50 years to live, and probably longer. Don-t worry about her. Relax and enjoy your friendship.
i got permission to take my 16yo son to the cancer ward at our local hospital it made him sick.now he volunteers there and smokes no more
Simple: You mind your own business, and focus on your own faults and vices.
