Why is it that when you quit smoking you gain weight regardless.? -

I quit smoking 4 months ago and have gained 30 pounds, but I feel like I am not eating more. I just keep gaining.
Hey Annie, sometimes it feels like you are not eating much yet you will actually be eating much more than during your smoking period. Just try and list down what you are eating now and compare with what you used to eat if you can remember.

The reason for weight gain is that smoking suppresses your appetite in addition to damaging sense of smell and taste. Once your body gets a chance to flush out toxins that cause these things you will find an increased craving fort food and increased appetite.

A good way to handle the eating demands of your body leading to weight control is to eat fruits as much as you can whenever the cravings comes outside of meals. In fact you can carry around a food pack with assorted fruits for that purpose.

Also investigate more on herbs. They are a number of herbs used when people quit smoking which satisfactorily help in controlling weight gain. It-s a natural treatment and has no side effects or any further chemicals nor toxins.

all the best. good health!
