I quit smoking 3 wks ago amp; now im gaining weight, what should I do to get fit again? -

I need motivation. Maybe a new swim suit or some Diet pills to get me going, what should I do???
First of all, congratulations! I have recently quit smoking too, and am so proud of myself I haven-t stepped on a scale! It is wonderful that you want to take care of your body in so many ways. It is very difficult to quit smoking, and I am so happy that you were able to accomplish such a task. What I reccomend for you is just a healthy, regular diet, and an exercise plan that fits you. Take a walk every day, and breathe in that fresh air, I bet you can smell better now!!! I love pilates, it is amazing for toning your muscles. Just replace fatty foods with fruits and vegetables. Don-t drink your calories! Stay away from any sweetened beverages, such as pop and juice. I like yogurt, baby carrots, grapes, etc. because they are so portable. Do what makes you feel good. And congratulations again. Good luck with all that you do.
Okay, the bulemia guy is totally wrong. What you need to do is find a healthy diet plan that works for you- maybe including bananas for potassium and something with insulin to counter the sugars.
as ugly as this may sound, take a picture of yourself that shows you why you want to lose weight. decide how much you want to lose by when and reward yourself when you reach your goal.
Smoking actually curbs your appetite so when you quit smoking you will put on some weight..Just exercises and eat right..Good Luck
try some green tea diet pills, they really work.don-t panic, sometimes when we Start to panic about the weight gain it only causes more weight gain.walking is good.yoga is a real good work out.
jog
you should drink lots of water and stop snacking i know thats what i did when i first quit. keeping busy helps keep your mind off smoking. try going for walks. good luck
you should probaly go to the gym or run alot to get back to your shape.
exercise! eat right...fill up all the lost nicatine with low fat/sugar gum instead of food.
joining a gym can be helpful
doing some cardio can help significantly
Two words: stop eating.

Go for some anorexia or bulemia...those-ll work wonders for your figure.
walk, then walk, then walk some more that is what i did , have to walk a little farther each day.
Exercise. It-s normal to gain weight after quiting smoking.
Definitely get a membership at a gym. I-ve lost 17 pounds since New Year-s, and I-ve put on muscle as well. Do a balance of some weights and some cardio. Also, eat a healthy and balanced diet. You don-t need to eat all perfect foods all the time, but think about what you-re eating. Grab an apple instead of a candy bar. You-ll look and feel great. And you won-t smell like a cigarette.
I wouldn-t go to the extreme with Diet Pills unless you do a lot of research on the particular product your considering and talk with your Dr. as well about it. I would suggest however to start out walking, just regular walking in your neighborhood or at your local mall. Then work up to Power Walking, joging, running, some kind of fun sport or even Swimming ( since you mention getting a new suit to motivate you to loose the weight. ) Eating right is well duh *laugh*, try some of the cereal chalanges out there, Like GrapeNuts or Special K, something like that. If you like Yogurt, that too would be good. Either the drinks they have made with Yogurt or well good ol- Yogurt itself.

I am currently on a Diet that I found online, It-s Herbalife. For someone like me where normal diets don-t work and I need to loose more than 20 or 30 lbs it-s been working well. Not to mention where the shake mix that comes with this diet goes it-s actually quite good. Has a bit of a Floral taste but not something that-s gag me type taste. That and they offer recipes to use if you want to enhance the taste/flavor or if you want to add some cool stuff to it to make it more of a Frapachino styled shake. Anyway it-s actually quite good in my opinion.

Well hope these ideas and any others help you. Good luck and Gratz on quiting smoking!! Takes a STRONG person to stop smoking.
your metabolism changed but it-s worth it. Whatever you do DO NOT start smoking again.
you should try eating 6 small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones, because the reason you-re gaining weight is your metabolism has slowed down from quitting, but more frequent small meals will help speed it up
you need something else to get addicted to. seriously, start playing golf or something. it will allow you to be active and get your mind off food
relax, 6 meals a day, tons of water, no high fructose corn syrup.
walking is best
There are many cures to loosing weight but what I suggest is exercise! Usually anything that gets you moving. Also drink LOTS AND LOTS of WATER! If you don-t drink water than you can faint. Oh...and also many times going on diets with eating non sugar products with Splenda can give you cancer. you can also go on a fast with a gallon of Distilled water put 2 fresh lemons and 1 quarter teaspoon of Kian pepper and do this for about 2 weeks. you might get sick as the toxins release in your body but you will start to feel better. If you cant fast eat grains you can start loosing weight. I also suggest you go see a doctor too. Glad you stopped smoking. smoking makes you gain alot of weight. Best Wishes!
Start exercising daily! Nothing comes easy, you have to sweat some to get results.
be active. youre craving for nicotine has been replaced by a craving for food probably. stay away from sweets they tend to replace the nicotine in your system. limit your food portions andd try a new sport or yoga or pilates or belly dancing.:)
bye jeans that are the size you want to fit in and every time you think you should excersize and you dont have any motivation then go look at your jeans.
Give yourself a challenge that isn-t about work or school, and do it work on it whenever you want to eat or smoke or do something obsessive. Also, run track or find a hobby.
