How can I get my mom to quit smoking? (please provide how to convince her, and the ways she can)...? -
My mom has been smoking since she was young and I keep telling her she should quit. She always says that she will and that she know she needs to and she will soon, but I have never seen her try to quit in the 16 years I-ve lived. What can I do to convince her? I was thinking about printing out information about different ways to quit, but I have no idea where to start. Could someone help me out with that too? Please, help me if you can.
I totally can relate to you.I lost my mother when I was only 24 years old because of smoking. She suffered so badly. It is a terrible way to die.She went from a vibrant 125 pound women to a 63 pound skeleton within 2 months. You do not want your mother to end up that way.I used to smoke too and when i watched my mom fade away i quit and never started again.Tell your mother to please try anything and everything to try to quit now I did it cold turkey and i was a heavy smoker. You really don-t need to light up a cigarette its only in your head.I haven-t smoked in over 9 years and feel so much healthier and better.Show your mom my answer and if you can search on line try to find some graphic photos of people damaged lungs due to smoking maybe if she sees it right in front of her she will hopefully think twice before lighting up one of those cancer sticks again. Also there may be a hospital in your area that has patients who are dying of lung cancer you should see if you can go visit them to put your mom face to face with the fact of how smoking cigarettes can really kill you.Second hand smoke is really bad for you so she is hurting both of you!!!
Don-t give up on her.Good Luck - God Bless.
ok first talk to her about smoking then ask her howd she feel if you smoked .... then show her some pictures of lungs with cancer and stuff and ppl with lung cancer frm smoking ...then tell her you want her to see your kids grow up make her emo and the what not
by the way working out helps you quit smoking..
My mother used to smoke. She quit and she-s in better shape than she ever was in her entire life. She goes to the gym all the time. She could not walk up hills with me without running out of breath. Now she-s in better shape than I am and she-s turning 60 this year!
