How to quit smoking? -
how to quit smoking, am not able to do it, can u help me out
I have smoked for 20 and tried many things....Have been on Chantix now for a week and things are going great.
When you start this med they want u to smoke the first week until the med builds up in your system.....for the past week I have gone from 1-2 packs a day to about 2-5 ciggs a day. Thursday is my 8th day and my quit day.
I work in a doc-s office and have seen alot of success on Chantix.
Good Luck
You and only you can help you quit smoking. Just don-t smoke anymore how hard is that.
Im serious here... dump a pack of smokes into a blender with 1 cup of water and blend until its a think milk shake and drink it. You will puke in a minute and never want another smoke in your life!
i used chantix, the new drug to help stop smoking, it really helped me.
Try to get more information regarding some ways to stop smoking at my profile.
1st, stop buying or begging cigarettes, the rest will follow
This takes commitment, courage and motivation. There is no -easy- way.
I suggest you talk with your doctor. There are many prescriptions out there that can help, but you have to WANT it to do it.
Also, go to quitnet.com.
A bunch of people in my work used Chantix. All of them haven-t smoked since. As far as side effects they said they had awesome dreams thats about it. Good Luck!!
Perhaps you could investigate a web search for -nicorette activestop-.
don-t light, drag em or inhale em.
I did it on the third try. The first time I tried lowering the number of cigs but as soon as I got stressed out or got together with my friends I was back to my regular pack a day habit. The second time I used those patches. Had side effects: dry throat, trouble sleeping... Managed to quit for 4 months. My grandma died, I had one cig and was back to my old habit within a month. So with me it-s either a pack a day or no cigs at all. The third time I quit cold turkey. Just no cigs at all.
Schedule yourself a start day and that is it. I went through sweats, trouble sleeping, constipation, weight gain. It is definitely a drug and your body will suffer trying to get used to being without it. Watch out for the times when you think you have things under control and you can light a cig or two - those are the dangerous times... I-ve been smoke fee for 6 years now. Good luck to you!
