I quit smoking two months ago. I also do not know what to do with myself, with my hands actually. It is a normal thing to feel more fatigued and a little jittery, to eat a bit more, to be a bit grouchy. As far as how long these symptoms continue, perhaps months.
Yes. Tobacco turns on the head all personality, not only metabolism. It slowes down mental proceses and in that way -solves- our troubles. When we quit smoking, all the -waiting- problems reinitialize their activity, and find us more or less unprepared. Metabolism is another great problem to be resolved. Metabolic proceses have been changed seriously during smoking period and are found in some sort of chaos. Enough heavy phisical activity helps the body to regenerate natural metabolism, end to free us from nerve tensions which come with healthier nerve activity. That and some photo of the polmons after 30 years of smoking on the obduction desk should help you to overcome this painfull period , which can last about one month or maybe some more, which depends to your activities. Here we are a lot of the sort.
When you quit an addiction, it-s important that you replace it w/something else. It fills that irritating void. Maybe you could take up a hobby that kills time and occupies your hands? Good luck.
Yep I stopped about 3 yrs ago and only over the last 12 months don-t think about it any more. Don-t go near those little suckers again.
