Is it ever easy to quit smoking? please answer? -
My dad smoke for like 3 yrs ? Then he promised he would quit when we moved to our new house. And he did. He really QUIT. just like tht. (its been 10 yrs) he did cheat one tho when he was REALLY pissed off - stressed. then he completely stopped.
.. im just really confused. was he like not as addicted or something ? ( im 15 btw )
it all depends on the person-s will.
well, i smoked for like... 6 months (quit by the way) because i was curious; i wanted to see what was so good about smoking, found out nothing was.
i just smoked because my friends did. one time though, i felt really light-headed and kind of dizzy. i believe i consumed too much nicotine. so your body might give you a sign when you should stop and i did stop after that day because i didn-t want to be addicted ^^.
but since your dad smoked for 3 years, he could-ve and should-ve been addicted. if your dad didn-t really inhale the cigarettes all the way, then it wouldn-t be too hard to quit. but if he did inhale them all the way, that means he was able to quit because of his love for you and your family.
It is never easy to quit smoking. Your dad had to make some major personal changes in himself, his life, and his routine to accomplish it and it took more than just guts. If you ever wonder somedays whether your Dad loves you and your family, you don-t have to go to far to see that he does.
Every person is different, every brain, every receptor in each person-s brain is different than another person-s. So we cannot judge others as failures or weak when they try again and again without success.
Each try is a step to success.
I was a packet a day smoker, i started when i was 14 years old, when there were no health risks mentioned like these days......i went cold turkey and have been off the ciggies for 8 years, i still now and then crave one especially when i go out for a few drinks...so i guess i will always be an addict!
Well my dad smoked for about 10 years? He tried quitting 3 times in the duration. One in 1994, 2000, and a couple of months ago. Well now he has finally done it. He told me that it was really hard for him. I just guess you really have to be mentally about it.
