Quit smoking for a week and a half for life insurance? -
do u think it will show up on the urinal test or the blood test? im taking it this coming up saturday(which will be a week and a half by then) and... i dunno if im gonna pass or not.. i have not picked up a cigarette since last thursday, but i have been around people that smokes.... thanks in advance
Even if you do pass your tests don-t you think your insurance company will find out once you are dead. What if you die from a smoking related illness?
These companies check up on all these kinds of things because they are there to primarily make money They won-t pay out if they don-t have to and pleading from your family members won-t change their minds. (I suggest you watch the documentary -Sicko- by Micheal Moore for proof of that).
Isn-t it better to just quit, full stop. You are going to spend the rest of your life paying the insurance company money. None of which your family will ever see back.

Good Luck
The last thing you want to do is lie on your application. And they may take a hair sample and test it for drugs and the likes, and the nicotine will show up. They don-t always do blood tests. Now if you haven-t smoked in 6 months, that would get you passed with flying colors. I don-t know how old you are or how long you-ve been smoking, but telling them you used to smoke and quit over 6 months ago, you won;-t have a problem. Can-t you wait that long or can-t you give up smoking that long? You will still get the insurance now, but it will cost you more if you are a smoker. Good luck to you and I hope you make the right choice.
