2 weeks ago i quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey? -

i have been drinking a ton of water because it feels like i have mucus in my throat and it is making me cough. but when i do try to cough it out, it wont come out.

i am just wondering out of the blue, if someone started smoking again would the mucus be gone??
No. It will settle back down into your already diseased lungs.
You want to take out all the mucus from your system. Your lungs are getting rid of the toxins.

Here is a Yoga Exercise to clean your system after you quit smoking:

yes it would, but-- and a big BUT, if you continue to not smoke it will go away too. Think of it like this: imagine that you have a cut, and then you form a scab ( smoking = cut // scab= mucous) if you give it time to heal (continue not smoking), the scab will go away, or you can just cut your self over and over again (keep smoking) in the same spot and you will never have to deal with the scab, but you might die from loss of blood (cancer).
It will loosen up. Tyr robitussin dm...thins out the mucus. Drinking cold water helps, too....just don-t drown yourself. To use this as an excuse to start smoking again is ludicrous. Your body has already gone through so many positive changes since you quit. If you go online and look for quitting smoking, the benefits, short term as well as long term, are there. Hang in there. Exericse also helps loosen phlegm. Hang in there.
Yes it will go away if you smoke. But hear me out...your almost out of the woods, about one more week and you should be feeling better. That mucus will come out but it takes a while. The end results are awsome! Iam an ex-smoker.Quiting smoking was the best decision you have made. Stick it out and it will get better..ALOT better.
I would talk to your doctor about this problem. I quit cold turkey also and never had this problem. My emotions and system would go flying high then crash for about a month, and alot of smells and tastes made me sick....still can-t eat pork.....or take the smell of ink on a newspaper, but no throat problems.
Starting smoking again would make the situation worse, the mucus is there because of your smoking before. You can try some common cold remedies, but past that you-re probably just gonna have to ride it out.
Don-t drink too much or it would create other health problems. Go see your doctor as they have a better answer.

People can die from drinking too much water.
i would go to a doctor or something but really i doubt smoking again would help anything
thats called smokers cough and no it wont go away it will just make it worse
thats good
