What is your opinion on the quit-smoking patch? -
Whatever you know or have heard would be helpful...
patch can make your skin itchy and wears off late in the day. be sure to buy the highest mg, even when you begin to reduce the dosage. simply cut them into half-s or quarters can save a lot of money-plus you can apply an extra half if you get a craving.
gums works ok, but I prefered the lozenges since they don-t require chewing.

Very best of Luck.
BTW C R is somewhat correct, but the power of BOTH a physical addition to nicotine and a mental conditioning of smoking being relaxing is very hard to overcome. its much easier if you can get rid psychological needs for a few months and then ween off or cold turkey the nicotine itself. and if cold turkey fails, make sure to go to gum, or lozenges instead of cigarettes.
I struggled to quit for a long time, but never was comfortable with pills or patches. Pay money to the pharmaceutical industry after I-ve been paying to tobacco industry for so many years? It-s like they are milking you both ways. And at the end of the day, I found an intelligent way to quit smoking.
The important thing is to realize that smoking creates strong emotional bonds - and it is these bonds that need to be severed. Physical cravings only serve to wake up memories of the emotion...
Once that realization and awareness sets in, it is then important to reframe your thinking about smoking. Instead of saying -I am stressed and therefore I smoke- say -I am stressed but there are other ways to deal with it-. This shift in thinking is important.

I disagree with that concept. I have been a smoker, and I quit cold turkey. In my personal opinion, as long as you continue to give your body nicotine, it will still crave it. That is why people who -cut down- eventually start smoking the same amount again.
nope didn-t help me. try nicorette gum
