Why do you gain weight after you quit smoking? -

I know some of us have a tendency to eat more, but besides that, is there a chemical reason for gaining weight? I-ve been told there is... but I can-t remember why! do you know?
Tobacco smoke contains chemicals that curb the appetite. Take away the smoke, and therefore the chemicals, and the appetite returns.
smoking suppresses your appetite.
when quit smoking u desire food when ur craving a cigarrette so u tend to eat more and gain a little wait
Besides the chemical response, smoking occupies your hands and your mouth. One addiction is replaced with another in some circumstances. Both eating and smoking are comforting as well, so when you take away one coping mechanism, you replace it with another.
