If he has decided that he wants to quit and has asked for your help, ask him what he would like you to do. You could also ask him if he-d like for you to research information about the health effects of smoking if he doesn-t already know them. If he isn-t familiar with the different products that help people quit smoking, you can ask him he he-d like for you to research about these products.
Basically, simply ask him what he-d like for you to do to help him.
Tell him that you won-t ever talk to him if he smokes.
Also tell him about the bad effects of smoking.
Let him do it on his own terms. Voicing your opinion will help but you can-t force or scare anybody into doing something they ultimately don-t want to do.
