What is the best and most stress free way to quit smoking? -

I currently smoke about 2 packs of cigerettes a day. I-m 30 and have neen smoking heavy for about 5 years and overall for about 12 years.. I want to stop smoking, but im going thru a period of anxiety and new jobs and other stresses, and would like know a proven way or suppliment to help me with letting the cig-s go

Thanks
i dont know the answer as we are all so different but after a few attempts this time i have given up because i started to workout and run and it was impossible to do both. I enjoy running to much to smoke again. Good luck
Smoking is more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. If you really want to quit you must discover the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes.

It sounds like there are many areas of your life that set of a want in you to smoke (stress, anxiety, change etc). When you come across these life factors you need to re wire your thoughts to believe that by having a smoke it will not help you in your situation. This is not as hard as you may think because the reality is; by having a smoke it will not actually help you. It will in fact make your situation worse. We can teach you how to change your though processes so you truly believe this.

Once you deal with the psychological side of smoking it makes the quitting process easy, no matter your level of addiction.

Quitting smoking does not require any patches, gums, supplements or anything like that. These methods are expensive, time consuming and simply do not work. All that is required is a bit of motivation, self belief and determination.

do you want the best or the most stress free?

the best, in my opinion, is keeping yourself busy. for me to smoke 2 packs a day, i need about 2-3 hours of -smoking time-. if you area too busy to find 2-3 hours, then you dont have a chance to smoke. however, being busy for every hour you are awake tends to build stress. but then there is always a solution for that. go out for a run. it will build your lungs back up, and takes away the stress.

second best, go to hookah. most (if not all) hookah tobacco has .05% nicotine, and has been washed free of tar. compare that to the 16mg of tar and 1.1 mg of nicotine you get from one filtered Marlboro, and its basically nothing. you get a buzz (mostly from the lack of oxygen to your head) and you feel relaxed, but there is almost nothing bad in hookah. its basically all sugar. still, breathing in smoke is bad for you, but its nowhere near as bad as the tar and nicotine.

stop smoking, but dont stop the nicotine. wear patches, chew gum, pack dip. have different ways of getting the nicotine you need without lighting up a cigarette.
Start working out. You must have very strong will power.
