What is the least painful and most effective way to quit smoking? -
Just stop. My teacher and my uncle and his 2 kids did this. They just stopped. Use your willpower and just stop. Don-t do the -I-ll only have 5 a day for 1 week. Then I-ll only have 3 a day....- Don-t. It-s less painful, and costly, to just stop. Prove to everyone that you are strong and that you can do it. Just try real hard. I believe you can. *sorry if this gets offensive here.... God wants you to stop and He can help you. Believe in Him. Pray to Him, ask Him to help you quit.

First, make a firm resolve that you really want to quit smoking and get your life back and then get all your friends in the loop and ask them to help you out.
Second: Avoid smokers zone for atleast 1 month. Do not accept cigarettes from anyone
Third: Stock your refrigerator with monthly groceries, fruits and natural juices.
Fourth: Pay off all your monthly bills. Then destroy your debit and credit cards. Inform the bank that your purse is stolen and hence you wanna block the cards, so that they can issue new ones. Destroying your cards would mean that you wont be abel to succumb to the temptation to smoke another one, since you wont have any money and there wont be an easy way to take money out of your bank.
Finally:
Now, for the month. You cannot buy cigarettes if you dont have any money. You would look for alternate sources to satisfy your cravings. So go to the refrigerator, take out an apple and eat it slowly. That would give your hands and mouth something to do.
The urge to smoke or cravings only last for10 to 15 minutes only, So make sure that you eat the apple slowly fully relishing its taste, which makes the cravings go away and at the same time, makes your healthy
Secondly, drink orange juice to clear your system from nictine. Orange is a natural anticarcenogenic drink and it will help in detoxifying your nicotine levels in your blood.
End of the month, your cravings would be gone. This is how I quit smoking. Believe me, it works.

im a smoker for 4 years now so unlike alot of people i know how hard it is to quit specially if your a woman. a man can quit instantly.
anyway the best advice i can tell you if throw that box away and never pick up another cig. i went from smoking a pack a day to just smoking 1 or 2 cigs a day THATS it. basicly its all in the mind. if you really really want to quit you can. as for me i think im doing well eventually i will stop

I stopped smoking 45 years ago, I still get a longing for my pipe sometimes, this is how i did it, i had a packet of cigs in my pocket and I started first thing in morning in stead of having a cig i promised myself one at my tea break, when i got to tea break i decide to try for lunch break before having a smoke, when i got there i thought lets try for afternoon tea break,i made it so i decide to wait until i got home, all the time i had the safety net of a cig in my pocket if i wanted one.
I managed this for 3 days and then i lit a cig,,, 2 puffs and i thought what am i doing i have just wasted 3 days so i put it out . i continued extending my non smoking time until suddenly i realized i had not thought about a cig for a few days . it may not work for you it did for me so give it a try. remember you are only putting of your smoke until you reach your set target, then you extend it, if you fail you carry on setting targets and trying to reach them. do not aim to far ahead each time then you will find you will soon be extending this without trying

Try chewing that special gum to help you stop or just plain stop doing it. If u think about smoking do something to distract u.
