What is the best way to quit smoking? -

I have tried cold turkey and I go ballistic.. besides patches and pills, what are some creative ways you have done it?
I saw a hypnotist do it once.

After he had the smoker hypnotized he told him that the next time he lights up a cigarette it was going to taste like horse$hitz.

It worked long enough for the guy to quit successfully.

.
Sorry... been there... no solution but determination and cold turkey. Not a bad idea to remove yourself from temptation to help... maybe a camping trip where you simply can not get smokes.... first three days (day three, especially) the worst... after that, the craving gradually diminishes BUT... back to square one... you have to be determined to stop. All the best - it is worth it!
it reminds me if starting a diet theres never a good time just choose a day and
start another habbit to keep your mind off of it
Try the nicotine gum. It doesn-t taste very good and it turns into a hard piece of rubber after a while. Also, if you chew a piece a lot, the nicotine eventually ends up getting into your stomach and making you feel kind of nauseous.

Eventually, you-ll stop craving the nicotine, because you can-t stand the way the gum tastes and makes you feel. Then, one day, stop chewing the gum (takes about a week or two). You-ll suddenly realize that, not only do you not feel like chewing the gum, you have no craving for a cigarette, either.

Also, what you can do in addition to the gum is to cut back on the number of cigarettes you have each day leading up to the day you -quit-, substituting the gum for the missing cigarette. At some point (a coupla-few days), just make the decision to stop smoking and just chew the gum. It gives you a softer landing.
March of last year my partner and I had low level laser therapy, it cost £33 ($66) each here in the UK, on a basic level the laser pulse switches off the nervepaths which cause nicotine addiction to hold in the brain, i walked in smoking 60 a day, even had one just before i went in, walked out 20 minutes later a non-smoker. Neither me nor my girl have had a smoke since. One of the health boards ran a pilot scheme for employees and found 60% stopped completely against around 10% for tradition methods.
