What type of food or diet would you recommend someone whos recently quit smoking? -

I used to smoke 1-2 packs a day.. is there anything i can or should eat to restore my bodys balance
Orange juice. Smoking depletes vitamin C massively. You-re probably deficient in it at this point. Also orange juice has potassium which will give you a boost when you feel run down. It also helps with cravings for a cigarette.
The same diet that I-d recommend anyone. A healthy one packed full of fresh fruits - veggies; lean meats (especially fish); whole grains; low-fat dairy; healthy oils; and lots of water. That along with exercise especially cardio to work the lungs, and a good night-s sleep, should help restore your body pretty quickly. In less than a year, you-ll feel like a different person! Congrats on quitting, I know how hard it is:)
ohh boy.... i quit chew a month ago and have always had very good eating habits, i did not change anything in my diet but i found myself snacking and munching on anything i could find.. my suggestoin to you is this. try to plan out your 3-4 main meals for the day. eat more greens at each meal to try to add fill to your belly without alot of calories. besides, veggies are good for you.. then buy you favorite fruits to have as snacks. if you are not a fruit and veggie person, try to find at least a couple that you can tolerate for your meals. i have a bad sweet tooth, i bought them kids yogurts in a tube.. -gogurts- and threw them in the freezer. they make a tastey frozen snack. i also like sugar free jello, drink alot of water, take a daily multi vitamin each day with breakfast. it dont have to be anything fancy. centrum is fine and economical. and take each day in stride. i still have very hard days and cravings but they go away and i get over it. good luck to ya
