If you had a planned date to quit smoking cigarettes, would a change in brands support your quitting efforts? -

Like if I were to say I want to quit next Friday. Since many cigarette companies put specific chemicals and specific amounts of chemicals to keep you addicted to that brand, would changing brands be wise for that weak to sort of lean off of the other addictive substances.

I guess the only problem is you can open yourself to a larger array of chemicals to become addicted to.
Absolutely not.....the tobacco companies put addictive substances in every cig made.

I thought the same thing so started smoking cigars and guess what??????
I think the only way to do it is to not smoke at all anymore. I don-t think there-s anything wrong with using Nicotine gum, or the drug Chantix to help you, but switching really doesn-t accomplish anything. It-s not just the nocotine that you have a problem with, it-s the activity of smoking, and everything you do that you associate with it (After a meal, when you first get up in the morning, while driving etc.)
If you live in Canada (I don-t know about the US) you can buy from the reserves, technically you have to be native but they don-t care, there aren-t many chemicals is those, and they are disgusting after you-ve been smoking a certain brand. Try changing from menthol to normal, or normal to menthol, it really throws off your smoking patterns.
100% no - a change in brand would be no help at all - in fact it could prove to be a disaster as you might actually prefer the newer choice of brand!

Once you-ve set a date stick to it - clear out all the ashtrays and lights etc and fire up your willpower. once you quit smoking you-ll never regret it!
