Does anyone have tips on how to quit smoking cold turkey by tomorrow? -
I have pneumonia and need to quit smoking altogether ASAP. Any ideas???
i was a pack a day smoker and i quit cold turkey. i tried three times, but the third time was a charm because i had a real incentive - money.
my state-s cig tax caused a carton of smokes to go up almost 10.00. the carton that cost me 18 was now costing 28. for me that was the incentive to work. my health, smelling like smoke, cancer scare, burning holes in everything, etc., none of that mattered to me. but the possibility of giving the state more cash sure worked magic. it has been 4 or 5 years and not one relapse.
you should have some kind of incentive for yourself to help strengthen your resolve to quit. maybe think about the money you might save that can be spent on something else.
or anything that can keep you on track when you think you might derail.

Well instead of smoking try like yoga or somthing to occupy your mind. It is super difficult to stop all in one day though. You could also try meeting with a consulor and talking about your addicton and im sure she would have good ideas on how to quit. Also theres this gum i forget what its called but it is supposed to help.
stay around people that don-t smoke, don-t go to bars, stay in areas where you can-t smoke and every time you get the urge go do something else, it doesn-t matter what it is just do something else. go for a walk, run or whatever.
I used to smoke and going for a run when i had a craving really helped.
I think you can quit smoking by medicine or some diet.
And just insisting.
Remember you are doing buiness for yourself, but not by yourself.

Try the patch. Or nicowater, nicorette gum, anything with nicotene.
Also, try and get someone to keep you company and stop you if you lose it.
My dad always used to go to fortinos or your local grocerie store and get those bags of in-esexpensive candies (the ones you bag yourself and weigh) and he just popped one in his mouth whenever he wanted a cigarette!
the only way I can think of is to just quit. Throw away the cigarettes. Pepperment sticks or mints can help. As they do for stomach pains as well.
DON-T THINK ABOUT SMOKING PERIOD !!! after 24 hours its a piece of cake JUST Don-t think about smoking PERIOD !!!
