How can I quit smoking tobacco without taking nicorette? -

Contact the Quitline and join a Quit Smoking Clinic.
Stop using the product all together.
A medication called Chantix. You need a prescription for it. It does work and it works so well that you have to force yourself to smoke to have a cigarette every now and then so no withdrawl symptoms occur. It works!!!!! Good Luck. Nicorette and patches and anything else don-t work. This Chantix will take 3 months so you don-t go through any type of withdrawl symptoms. Then you are done smoling for good!!!
First check with your doctor on smoking cessation aids to see which one, if any, would be appropriate for you.
Second check out a Yahoo group called NicotineBusters,
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Nic…
This group has a wealth of knowledge and provides great support. You will find people who have quit smoking cold turkey or have used the patch, gum, lozenge, Chantix, etc.

BTW, I stopped smoking 3 months ago after some 30+ years.

Good luck to you!
I-ve been working on that one too. I-m not very good at it. But there are patches and lozenges. Also cold turkey. Sign up for the quitnet too (just google it). It was quite helpful the five times I quit. One of these days.... dammit.
don-t buy any more when you next run out.
it will suck for at least a few days, but once your over the inital cold turkey phase you-ll be fine.
From personal experience, Smoke Away works good. It-s all natural, and helps to remove the nicotine and other cigerette byproducts from your body while helping to control the cravings. You can pick that up at Wal-Mart for $30.

If you prefer a non medical approach, I would suggest cutting back slowly, limiting yourself to X cigerettes a day. Let-s say that right now you smoke 10 a day. Try cutting back to about 5 or 6 a day. This will help to slowly ween you off of them, while preventing an all out withdrawl at the same time. Once you can tell that you are craving them less, cut back even further to about 2 to 3 a day. You can keep this up until you no longer crave them.
dude I hope it works out for you and I-m not trying to scare you or anything, my bro tried nicorette and started passing out at random times and once even while driving.
If yo want to use it use it as a suppliment to curb cravings and use small amounts while cutting down on your cigarette smoking.

Good Luck
If you need help with this and are having a hard time, there is a new medication that your doctor can prescribe, it is called Chantix.....I have heard wonderful things about this medication. Several friends have stopped with this medication....
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!
