Have quit smoking for 2 days am feeling extremly lightheaded is this normal? -
used to smoke 20 a day am also feeling quite spacey and am being more erm -friendly- with customers on the phone how long is this likely to last?
I quit smoking 2-1/2 years ago, and certainly remember that feeling.
The feelings of dizziness and light-headedness and an inability to focus/concentrate are normal. Approximately 2/3 of people who quit experience it.
What is happening is that nicotine is a brain stimulant, and your brain is reacting to the loss of that stimulant.
You should start to see improvement within a couple of weeks, and in a month or so the sensation should be gone.

Good luck, and stay with it.
yes and good luck, I gave 15yrs since by willpower only,
man l stopped smoking two days ago too,l am using the pacthes which seem to be doing the trick.Hope you are finding it o.k and we should keep in touch if we have a bad day l used to smoke 20 a day but not no more because l would love to give my lovely husband more children Good luck
This is going to hurt but you-ll make it. Several years ago I chewed over a can a day of chewing tobacco and stopped finally by using the cold turkey method. Cheap, fast, and painful but sucessful. It took about 8 weeks to get over it and another 6 months for all cravings to vanish. You can do it. Remember, you have a lot of company. You-re not in it alone.
if you-re a blonde its normal ha, ha.
Yes, that is normal because you are now depriving your body and brain of the nicotine. My husband uses Nicorette 4mg Gum and it helps with the lightheadedness. Not too expensive WELL WORTH THE TRY!! Keep it up!! You will make it through. Or just go buy JOLT Cola...that may help your head too...hehe
not sure how long it lasts but CONGRATULATIONS on quittin and keep it up
A few days, maybe 2 weeks
Good luck !
This is normal , it will last in about 4 weeks .
