Need some moral support and an answer, I recently quit smoking .Will the belly ever go away? -

I used to be very atheletic , but the past 15 years were kinda bleak. Now, I am almost forty and would like to get close to where I was physically.I work out 4 days a week , Cardio and weight training and am also on a high pro. low carb , diet.Anyone have any suggestions on expediting the process???
I think you are doing the right thing. You-re working out and if you are quitting smoking you think you will eat more. Not true. You just need the strong will by working out and putting your mind on something else. Also, we do need some carbs in our bodies, I suggest whole wheat, or any kind of whole grain bread. How long it takes depends on how much you want to lose.
That is a hard question. The problem with stop smoking is that you will gain weight. I think that the best thing that you can/are doing it working out. Where you are almost 40, that is also another tricky situation. The older you get, the less your sink will go back to where you were at when you were younger.

You also want to give it time, since you use to be very athletic, your body remembers how to adjust back to where you were 15 years ago. Give it time. You may not get that 6 pack, but you will lost some if you stick to working out.
Up your Cardio to everyday and make sure your doing nothing less than 60 minutes.
