Whats the best way to quit smoking? -


i want to quit smoking and am looking for ideas on how to make it less painful
Chantix...my parents have been smokin since they were 13 and just now quit [theyre in mid 40s] and they have not smoked since January...it works really well but it is a little expensive.
Just defer having the next puff by thirty seconds from whatever point in time that you find yourself, and then focus on something to distract yourself. Note the thirty seconds are just a way for you to convince yourself that it is not for long that you must go without a puff, don-t dwell on the fact that it is thirty seconds from anytime that you want to have a puff. That means that if it is nine minutes and forty seconds after seven in the evening and the time goes to when it is eleven minutes after seven in the evening and you get the urge to light up, you defer that for thirty seconds and focus on some distraction, and so it goes always thirty seconds to go.
After some days or weeks you can if you think you are up to it make the time a minute or more, but always the same principle apply.
Now when you start you take what cigarettes that you have left and soak them under the tap then squash them, then you can see just how yucky and unhealthy they really are, then chuck them in the bin and say to yourself that cigarettes are an unhealthy expensive enemy trying to enslave you with its addictive nicotine, and remember that you kan never in your life take another puff on a cigarette without a very high risk of slipping right back to where you were, that is because the nicotine etc in cigarettes and the promotion of them is designed to create that addiction that so many find so hard to conquer, but if you really want to you can.
I have not direct advice to give you but I can share a story of an Opium Addict who found no way to resolve the addiction and ultimately went to a wise man.

wise man heard him and advised him : Do not Worry, Tell me how much you daily take , and addict was startled, and told , 50 grams, wise man told, now make sticks of 50Gram opium for each day. and as you start taking the First day stick, rub it once on the wall. and on second day, rub it twice, and third day thrice. after rubbing you can take it. So opium addict listened and thinking about this strange idea, went home and did as was told.
in first month nothing happened. but after six months he noticed the results. and after a year, he just felt the blessing of wise man. and went dancing to thank him .as there was no opium left for taking

such is the case with Smoking. If you can follow this way and try in your own way. nothing like that
