Is any body there quit smoking and not put weight on? -
i quit smoking i cant stop eating.
yes i quit smoking a few years since and the trick is to identify when you are really hungry and when you are just having a craving, i know its boring but chewing gum helps as does drinking a glass of water also try to plan activates around the day so you wont think about smoking or eating to replace the habit. good luck and remember if you do put any weight on that it can be lost with exercise and a good diet, cancer cant be lost so you have to weigh up the risks.
chew gum
Yes I did..and lost weight also..all I did was not to replace one bad habit with another and started working out four times a week on the Bow-flex system, worked for me!!
Yeah- a couple of men I know- me, I gained a little weight, but it is only a walk away. Breathing is awesome- so is the extra money. If you-re eating- change what it is that you are eating so that you aren-t getting saturated or trans fats. Oatmeal, Cheerios, and Special K help fill you, regulate digestion and lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Veggie sticks or Special K cereal bars have only 90 calories. Small bananas have only 90 calories. Stay away from french fries, snack cakes, certain crackers, chips and cookies. Learn how to make natural fruit smoothies- you do have alternatives.
That-s always a danger when you give up smoking. You need to find something else to occupy your time. Cigarettes are an excellent hunger suppressor, but the health benefits of not smoking are more important.
I personally have not smoked, but I do know someone who was able to quit and not gain weight. The problem is, smoking is a habit. When you quit a habit, you replace it with another habit. Most people find eating to be that other habit. If you want to quit smoking and not gain weight, you have to replace the smoking habit with something else, such as crafts, sports, typing.. anything to keep your hands busy. You can-t just stop a habit dead. You need to replace it with something else.
i don-t think so... try eating lots of protein it should fill u up
Yes I gave up the dreaded weed 3 years ago,and took up gardening and I-ve lost over 3 stone.(also stopped drinking alcohol).
simple continue to eat what you ate before since any additional hungry is then deffinatly due to lack of cigs, do more exercise during the quitting period
Chew on ice chips and get more active.
