Whats the best way to quit smoking? -
My mother has been smoking for a long time and I want to make her quit before it-s too late. What-s the best way to get her to quit?
The best solution is substituting something else whenever she wants to have a cigarette. You can try various things like Nicotine patches. But, the best thing I-ve found is Electronic Cigarettes. Its an electric cigarette with a battery in it. You can make her smoke this. At first set the nicotine level to what she wants. Day by day, keep on decreasing the nicotine level and one day she-ll definitely quit.

Good luck!!
Shoot each cigarette out of her mouth as she tries to light up. Eventually, she-ll get the message.
There is no BEST way to get her to quit. Because she-s got to want to quit. And cigarettes are addictive, so there-s NO EASY WAY to get her to WANT to quit.
If it was something like you smoke and you suddenly got cancer, then she might get scared because her child was following in her steps and got deathly ill. Much of the time, it takes as bad a scare as that to shock people into trying to quit smoking.
The other point is that you said you WANT TO MAKE HER QUIT. Oh how many people have tried to do that. Even the people trying to quit would love to MAKE THEMSELVES quit. But it just isn-t that easy.
There-s lots of emotional reasons people smoke, along with the physical addiction. So you-ve got a double whammy to overcome. And if your mother is setted into her habits, then it-s almost impossible to get her out of it.
It-s so funny to me that kids will consider smoking as an adult action, and even tease kids into trying cigarettes, then years later they-re hooked, and enroute to getting cancer which will probably end their life with intense pain. Oh, yes those kids were soooo smart to start smoking.
If we could answer your question so easily, then smoking wouldn-t be a problem. But we cant.
There-s no easy way to say -good luck-, because almost no amt of luck will work on your quest to get your mom to quit. Certainly nagging her won-t.
