Has anyone used Chantix to quit smoking? How did it work for you? Did you experience any side effects? -
I used it and loved it. It worked perfect. I didn-t really want to quit, but was willing to due to family (wife) pressure. Chantix is supposed to make you cease having the desire to smoke, and that is what it did. I kept smoking while taking it, and slowly I didn-t want as many. Within a couple weeks I was wondering why I was buying smokes when I really didn-t feel like smoking them. At that point it-s purely habit as opposed to urges. Then I quit.
I didn-t take it as long as recommended. When I felt I was over it I quit taking them and I haven-t gone back. It-s been a little over a month now and I can-t see myself going back to smoking. It-s different when you quit because you really just don-t want them anymore. There-s not a bunch of suppressed urges waiting to resurface.
No side effects. Took it how they said - never even got the gas.
