How long after i quit smoking can i use a nicotine patch? -

ok i hade my last cig around 6pm and now it-s midnight and i REALLY REALLY REALLY need a cig. can i just put a patch on now or do i have to wait a while longer?
Actually you can put the patch on right after you put your last cigarette. Generally it takes a little bit for the nicotine from the patch to give you the full benefit anyway. The suggestion is not to smoke while wearing the patch and wait at least 2 hours if your going to take it off to smoke. You surely can talk to a Pharmacist but pretty sure you-ll hear the same thing. The mg that you use is based on how much you smoked a day. A pack/day generally says use 21mg. Best of luck. Understand that some people have vivid dreams at night when wearing it to bed if you can stand that then you really ought to wear it the full 24 hours so when getting up in the morning you still have enough nicotine in your system to put on your new patch.
You should definitely read the directions or go to talk to a pharmacist, before using the patches. To be honest, you should just wait until you know the information before saying -this is my last one.- You can go tomorrow to find out as soon as possible and once you know for SURE. Then start to use them properly when you know how.
Hope thats okay advice.
Don-t smoke while using the patches!
Make sure you have a strong heart too, with no concerning heart conditions, before using the patch.
Ask a pharmacist, he will be able to tell you!
