How long does it take for my lungs to heal after i quit smoking? -

i havent been smoking for a long time(maybe a year or so) and i dont smoke that much, maybe 1-3 cigarettes a day, how long would it take for my lungs to completely heal?
If you quit smoking by the time you are 30, within 10 years, you lungs will have healed themselves so it was like you never smoked. If you wait longer, they will heal some but not all the way. This info applies to pack a day smokers, so you are probably okay.
Regardless of how much you smoke, you should stop. The fact that you only smoke 1-3 cigarettes a day is much better than a pack, but you need to stop.

Your risk for cardiovascular disease, lung cancer and stroke are greatly multiplied the longer you smoke. When you STOP, you will reduce your risk for pneumonia, bronchitis, infections and other various cancers

Your lungs will heal if you STOP. Since you-ve only smoked a year and it has been minimal, it won-t take that long to heal as opposed to smokers that have greater -pack-years- than you (Packs per day times years smoked). But you-ll notice better lung function and less coughing as that happens.

Please stop!
they never will
they will not deteriorate any further
