Is It Normal to Have Tight Chest after People Quit Smoking? -

I read that some people, including myself, are experiencing tightness in chest with mucous in the throat after they quit smoking over many weeks or longer?
Yes, this is all part of the withdrawal symptoms of giving up smoking. You chest is adapting to being able to breathe more easily. The mucous in the throat is normal too, phlegm is trying to be cleared from the lungs...
I had bronchitis for a while on and off for several years after I quit and my lungs are easy to get infection now because I got asthma now but continuing smoking can cause a lot more serious than bronchitis like cause and emphysema and heart disease You may need to go to the doctor and talk to him you may need a asthma inhaler for a while until the tightness goes away
im guessing it might be your body adapting to breathing without the smoking
