hi baby_rost..
congratulations on your decision and efforts to quit.. that-s a big deal, and truly worthy.. you wont regret quitting!! as far as those early reactions, Oh yes... been there done that, snap at people, short attention span, the whole works.. its not the drug doing that.. its a natural product of nicotine withdrawal..folks in support groups acknowledge this phenomenon..
in fact i have a friend that uses the phrase,- you are allowed 3 homicides in your first 30 days-..this is obviously a joke, but i think you get the point.. most folks in support groups, look back on that period with a sort of gallows humor..
the real truth, is that right now ,you are probably oversensitive to anything real, or perceived.. and feel some guilt associated with the behavior.. rest assured it passes, and the world is actually a very forgiving place for recovering folks..
you may have noted, that i mention participation in a support group.. i have been nicotine free for over 5 years now, largely because of my participation, both locally and online.. i attend nicotine anonymous meetings, and have found the support of others who have either successfully quit, or in the process-s of quitting very helpful when questions like this pop up.. you are welcome at meetings smoking or already quit.. on line meetings are as close as your computer..

Personally, I won-t use drugs to quit smoking. If you think about it, you are consuming something to get rid of something. Anyway, it-s totally up to you how you quit smoking. Just make sure that there is no bad side effect of consuming the drugs because the effects might vary from person to person (yeah, people are different )
If you ask me how I quit, I just simply quit smoking cold turkey. Cold turkey might be difficult if you try it for the first time but after a few failed attempts you might figure out what can make it easy, seriously. I mean it-s still difficult but you can ease the whole process by doing certain things that might look small in the first place but have big impacts on the process of quitting e.g staying close to non-smoker group, listening to stop smoking audio everyday, etc. It might sound ridiculous, but hey, when we go back to basics most of complicated things are actually easy ;)
The same thing happened to me when I quit smoking. Tell your friends you-re quitting and apologize ahead of time for your vulnerability. They will be understanding, because they-d rather put up with your anger for a while than smoke cigarettes and ruin your health. Good luck!
Oh, the ones who can-t deal with reality unless they are on some kind of medication, substance, or chemical really make ME irritable.
