If I quit smoking will my lungs always be black? -

PLEASE only Intelligent answers. Seriously if I quit smoking will my lungs always be black or will the go back to some sibilance of normal?
If you really want to quit smoking, take a look to a new perspective at:

http://stopsmoking.eu.pn/

It-s designed for everyone who seriously wants to stop smoking without the use of any drug nor patches, and It-s free.

This site tackles smoking from an addiction perspective; It doesn’t matter if you are a five a day teenager, or a one hundred a day pensioner, male or female, or if this is your first or fiftieth attempt at stopping, if you follow all instructions, certainly you-ll become a non-smoker.

The section -Long-Term Rewards- explains about the health benefits of quitting.
The lungs will eliminate the tar residue over time. Depending upon how much you smoke, and for how long, the process will happen ove a period of years. An average smoker will have an almost normal appearing rosy appearance to their lung tissue within 2 years.
Any damage done to your lungs wont be repaired however. So chronic Emphysema wont go away, it will however be greatly slowed. Unfortunately, the chances for lung cancer do not diminish if you have smoked for greater than 3 years, as the damage to the cells DNA is already done.
No, your lungs are not black unless you-re a coal miner. Smoking isn-t good for your lungs but it doesn-t really turn them black. Only about 10% of smokers will eventually die from lung cancer (although that is much higher than the rate for nonsmokers). Your lungs are probably in much better shape than you think and our bodies tend to be resilent.
Joshua, when I quit smoking I went online and found a list of things that happen to the body over time, after cessation. Do you know that your lungs are black? Have you had a scan? Have you been diagnosed with anything? Answers to that would change things because then it would depend on that particular ailment. I can tell you that the lists I had found made a difference for me. Here is one site that you can take a look at the list:

You will have to scroll down to see the information as well as other links to interesting sites. I also noticed a video on what happens after you quit smoking but did not check it out - it looks like it may be informative though.

Also, it really helped me to go to www.quitnet.com. They still send me updates and anniversary reminders and offer information and support. Nothing bad can come of quitting; good luck!
it depends on how long you use to smoke. if less than 2 years, your lungs will restore 85% more than if u hadnt started at all. basically, they will be SLIGHTLY black. but if you smoked for more than 2 years, your lungs will only recover 52%.
What makes you think your lungs are black ?
Is your mouth black as well ?
To answer your question your lungs will be normal the moment you stop.
as soon as you will quit smoking the immune system will come into picture for cleaning of diposited carbon and its compound from your lungs....... so dont worry and say thanks to nature
your lungs will gradually heal themselves, although it-s uncertain whether there is permanent damage that may show up later
The human body has an incredible way of healing itself if given the chance. Your lungs can improve in health if you treat them right.
yes but if you are to start excersising it should help them get to as healthy as a former smokers can be.
